Today we built a double rabbit cage. I explain the step by step process to building a rabbit cage as well as why we built it the way that we did. It will be a great thing to add rabbits to our homestead, and if you are thinking about doing the same, then I hope this video is useful to you. Enjoy!

I've built lots of these cages growing up. This is a great tutorial. The j-clips are better close together. The rigidity of the cage is significantly improved. Great job!

Love this! I am going to be expanding my rabbitry this spring and I will be constructing more cages as well. My buck squeezed out of the bottom of his door...keep an eye on that.

We have since added a clip down on the bottom corner 😉. Better safe than sorry.

Yes, they are being raised for meat, though we hope to sell some to regain the cost of feed. All of the rabbits in the video at the end are our breeders.

No, they are raising the kids for eating. The rabbits are for comfort. And there you go...stupid answer to a stupid question.

don’t use wire floors. Their paws are gonna get really bad.

New Zealands are bred with extra fur on their feet, but for their comfort, we have resting pads in their cages.
