Easy way to clean your designer handbag. --- Having a routine of keeping up with the up keep of our expensive purses will ensure it to last longer. Here is my simple way to clean, "touch-up" my purses after each use. Have a great day!
I repair leather professionally. 1. If your leather is absorbent, you cannot clean because the leather absorbs the cleaner. 2. Only use cleaners and moisturizer / conditioners that are made for the type of leather item. Purses come in a very wide range of finishes, so test with a droplet of water first. 3. Detergent makes leather age faster due to pH (acidity) mis-match. Leather is 4.5 to 5. and detergents are typically a pH of 9 to 11 - a huge difference. If used regularly, detergents will shorten the life of your leather. Any pH mis-match, either higher or lower, will rot leather
*Jones4Leather* : I'd so appreciate it please if you could share with us all more advice about what you mentioned in your comment -- especially what you said in Number/Point 1 : "If your leather is absorbent, you cannot clean because the leather absorbs the cleaner " -- all as time permits for you of course... :) Its great to have someone of your expertise on Leather here... :) ...may I 'subscribe' to you...? Thank You -- for everything now & in-advance... :)

Thank you so much for the tutorial! I have gotten a lulu guinness designer purse that was a birthday present from my grandma. It was definitely an expensive purse though she was able to get it on sale. So I definitely want to make this purse last for a good while. I'll definitely try your method. 😊
Baby Wipes (the non-alcohol ones) are SUPERB for Cleaning Coach Leather in my own personal experience thus far -- for both Modern & Vintage Leather...and then I always air-dry my bags in a well ventilated area indoors whilst my bags get some sun but never in direct sunlight...then 48-72 hours later they go back into their respective dustbags. :)
Hi sweetie thanks for the video. I know it was posted years ago, but just so you know eczema needs to be treated from the inside out. It's a metabolic reaction to something in your diet, not a reaction from external contacts. I notice that my eczema flares up when I drink a lot of milk or eat cheese. (I eat it anyway because I love dairy though, LOL!) But you need to figure out what you (or your kids) are eating that irritates the immune system. God bless xoxoxo
vleeism it can get worse if you are eating something you are allergic to but it is not caused by this. She just needs to see her doctor to determine fully
It can be food and I notice heat makes my eczema worst. Yesterday i was seating in. Hot car later I saw the flare ups and itching. Usually I only break out when eat oranges.
*Kathi Butler* -- it'd be really great please if you could share some further tips & techniques where you mentioned about the rubbing alcohol for the ink stains on the lining (in how you do it...) -- as time permits for you of course... :)
