Is the bobbin thread using metalic thread too?

Yes, it is recommended to use the same thread for upper thread and bobbin to create a nice look from both sides.

What size needle are you using and what tension settings did you use? Did you go up or down on the tension?

Hi Katherine, I used a normal 75/11 embroidery needle (Schmetz), and I set the upper thread tension on my machine to -5 (minus 5). Speed down to 350. However I recommend you play with the settings on your machine suitable for your thread, as you most likely have different thread.
