I've thought about making one of those but never got around to it. I think I've got some 1/2'' copper pipe laying around somewhere, just got to find it. Thanks for sharing.

GREAT project !!. Very impressed. Being in fl lube the dowel so humidity doesn't make it swell. As always love the video TBT. 👍👍👍👍👍

Copper stub outs for water connections are already closed at the ends and should work great, plus they are coned at the end and your dowel wont bottom out and have space to allow the char to stay lit

I watched another DIY fire piston vid, made the piston and it didn't work!! Then I realized that the guy on the other video never showed his working either!! Lol

Mine only works with cotton char cloth not denim char cloth why is that?
