saw the video on my lunch break from cutting firewood. grabbed a couple pallets and literally in less than 3 min had a sawbuck that doubled my processing speed. all i can say is thank you. From a homesteader in northern Canada.
Fantastic video and ingenuity; the best things in life really are free. A word of warning for anyone who makes their own; ensure the legs are stuck firmly into the ground or place something heavy in front of each leg, as the weight and force of the logs to be chopped can make the stand slip. Maybe a bit of an obvious one, but thought it worth mentioning. I might just have saved someones limb!
Absolutely bloody genius! I take my hat off to you Sir! I thought ''there must be an easier way of chopping pallets'' in spite of me thinking I was quite resourceful I did not think this one up....... what a knucklehead I am.
this is PERFECT to make out in the field or on the job! You'll look like a hero if you whip-up one of these while everyone is pissing around and cutting logs in the dirt!
I went to the back of a home depot to find pallets to make a sawbuck. There were dozens but there were no two that were the same size with the same amount of slats. I worked with the mismatched pair but it required much too much work to convert the the larger one to match the smaller one and to have the same number of slats. What should have been a cinch was a miserable chore.
Good video. Shame the pissing adverts keep popping up to spoil the action. RU-vid is too greedy by far. It should be enough having an advert at the start of any video and not keep obliterating the view of "know how" tutorials.
