This is there perfect HACK for anyone who wants to get into jewelry making!!!
I have a few really cool ways that you can embellish and customize and already existing necklace, or a way to make it from scratch!
This has been one of my successful DIYs. Made it over a year ago and sill get stopped whenever I wear it, so I re-made an updated version!

This is really a neat crafting project that you could do as a family. I save safety pins, and I really like the odd shape ones that I think it is F21 uses for their tags. I thinking of trying to adapt this to making a broach. I wonder about why you needed to pliers but I get it now and also like the tips for opening and connecting O rings, this is helpful just for making repairs on existing jewelry pieces. yes just use the dangling earring blanks, a jump ring and add the safety pin to that!

@@TheDIYDesigner hey what do you think about using coilless safety pins? Skipping the jump ring, the pins would fall differently, but maybe that can look less like a, well, safety pin...the beads might show up more. My version of Dylanlex is Dannijo. Years ago their style was more like these big statement necklaces and I'd go to their sample sales and still rarely buy anything. I used to decorate safety pins with beads as a kid but I'd never think to use them like this to create a heavy duty hardware necklace. I love it! You're so creative.

Hi Orly, these necklaces look really cool, I think the second one is more my style, low key but pretty, plus it would be more versatile, for day or evening wear, whereas the first one is more special occasion as it has a more elaborate look...either way, they are cool. I remember as a kid (back in the dark ages - the 60's/70's) doing something like this, not as fancy, but a lot of fun...we made all sorts of stuff, necklaces, earrings,brooches, hair clips, you name it, we probably had a go at it :))

New big fan of yours! 💕💕 The best secret I share with my friends is how A&D ointment is a lifesaver when you get any kind of burns. The secret is to apply it liberally and in the first about 10 seconds of being burnt to allow it to create an insulation from the air, while rehydrating the skin. So I have a tube in my kitchen cabinet, another in my vanity and wherever I'm working with hot tools. Trust me and try it at least once; you'll be sending me good thoughts when it stops the burn from getting worse or any skin color change afterwards.

I couldn't help thinking about a line in "Whenever, Wherever" when you talked about having a padded bra: "Lucky that my breasts are small and humble / So you don't confuse them with mountains" It's Shakira at her best :D I don't think you realise how perfect YOU are, everything "shines" on you. You could model if you wanted, although I think you have such a huge creative energy just modelling wouldn't be enough. I wouldn't be surprised if you came up with your own brand and launched your own products, from clothing to shoes and accessories, your taste is impeccable and I'm sure you would sell everything. I make wire wrapped jewelry and I love the simplicity of this piece. Your skills are just fine. The only thing I would change is instead of using jump rings, use split rings like for a key chain. They come in lots of sized and they create a more secure point for heavy pieces.
