Love the French seam technique

I've been fighting for two days with an off shoulder ruffle top.- grrrrrr. In desperation I've been surfing youtube and I've found your video. Thank you soooooooooooooo much I'm now going to finish my dress by unpicking everything I've done so far and starting again!!!!!! IF ONLY I had found this first what an amazing straight forward way you have put this together thank you so much.

Also, if your machine has an overcasting stitch & corresponding foot then you can use that on the raw edges. I have the Brother SQ9285 and stitches # 7, 8, & 9 are the built in overcasting stitches (IMO #9 looks most like a serged edge) and foot G is the overcasting foot.
