@@ohepay7343 i bought the DMX-7520DABS which is pretty basic and has carplay over cable which is all i needed. When i upgraded to this particular kenwood model i needed to order side pannels with a mounting frame as well, because the unit is smaller than the subaru stock unit.

hello, great video. I have a subaru forester xt 2013y my radio doesn't work properly anymore. I would like to install the radio DMX7722DABS which is available here in Europe. does that also work with your AC-XV-HRN? thanks

Forward 2024 bought a 2016 XV Crosstrek, North America model. It is a lot more difficult to remove the factory radio. There's 2 cables for the climate control unit that need to be Disengage from the back. Don't understand why the US Subaru crosstrek be easy to just unplug a harness like the Australian Subarucrosstrek. model.

Housing around temp dials isn’t going anywhere following these instructions and doesn’t show climate control cables here. Not for USA subarus.

Very helpful. I have a base model 2012 Subaru XV with the same stereo dash setup. Does the vehicle have a backup camera in the MFD? How do you connect the backup camera to the replacement unit? Thanks

That's a totally different head unit.. mine need to get under the driver's dashboard and 2 ratchet extension just to reach a bolt

is it possible to replace a subaru xv oem radio with navigation, with an aftermarket radio like pioneer or kenwood? Shop around the corner tells me that it is not possible, only possible with an oem radio without navigation.
