I'm not sure what type of letters you purchased but if they are the flock transfers than the velvety side goes up and the side that is a little rough and bumpy is the adhesive. As long as the letters read correctly you have the right side up.
Thanks so much for the amazing video. Can the t-shirt be washed & placed in a dryer multiple times without any issues if it is made correctly? Also, are there any types of letters (material of the letters) that make them better than others in terms of quality and longevity?
These are very durable and will last through multiple, multiple washings. I would think they would be similar to an embroidered item but as I've not ever made the comparison don't know for sure
If I'm ironing letters on the front and the back of the shirt, should I put something in the middle of the shirt so I don't mess up the letters from the other side??
Lindsey, you should be able to iron on both sides of the shirt without any issues but if you want, you can put a piece of paper or light cloth in the middle.
It can be done on fabrics that can withstand the heat of an iron. If the backpack is cotton, that is ideal. Some synthetic fabrics melt or burn if you iron them.
