About Youngsang Cho
Youngsang Cho is Organic Farmer. Cho learned Natural Farming from his father Hankyu Cho(Korea Natural Farming, KNF) who advocated environmental agriculture since the 1960s. Cho family has been organic farming for the third generation. Cho served in 706 special forces and graduated from Aju University (Bachelor, Chemistry) and Chungnam National Uni (Master, Horticulture). Cho has entered the Ph.D. course from the Department of Agricultural Biology at Chonbuk National University. Cho started organic agriculture in 1989. Tengo una pregunta, el JWA puede ser aplicado sin el JS para combatir las plagas ya explicadas en otros videos? El JWA trabaja independiente del JS? Sé muy bien que el JS debe trabajar en conjunto con el JWA. Pero el otro caso no lo sé.

Sir, I tried making the solution using Coconut Oil. I made 15% less KOH, and follow all the rest of the ingredients. Is my solution okay even it’s not as clear as in the video?

In the book it says I have to use 7 lbs of potassium hydroxide. I only have two pounds and only want to make a small batch. However the book says you can not make smaller batches! In here to ask why!? And if there's anything I can do to substitute or fix this problem

Around 230 degrees Fahrenheit, look for HDPE plastic buckets/containers. Make sure its HDPE NOT LDPE or anything else.

What is going on with my Autumn blaze Maple tree? Planted last spring. 45 gallon tree. Texas. On automatic watering system, watered every other day for 30 min. We had a very wet spring but now the ground is cracking everywhere because it's so hot. The area around the base of the tree is not cracking though. I noticed these brown/black areas on the leaves. my solution is white like milk but very foamy. i used canola oil and distilled bottle water. can i still use this as jwa? does this have anti bacterial for hand washing? can we infuse it with citronella oil to make it more fragrant for hand wash?

Distilled water is perfect soft water, but I don't understand why it has turned white like milk. Insufficient primary agitation can also cause this. You can use it if it is very foamy. It has antibacterial properties. So the application is possible.

hi this is Niranjan Yoga and i'm from India. I changed 2 ingredients for the volume of 50 litre - I used caustic soda and coconut oil instead. It solidified overnight after 12 hours of the initial mix. so its been 24 hours now and its still hard like rock. I dont know what to do so i added 8 litre of soft water hoping that it will come to a butter like consistency. please advise me on the right steps and correct me if i have done anything wrong here

Caustic soda makes it very hard. So, it is very difficult to dissolve in water. Divide the hard lump into small pieces and dissolve in water. It takes longer.

Hi Sir I made JWA as per your process. I made it for 20 Ltrs qty. I used paint mixing stirrer and I stirrer for 5 minutes after adding ingredients and it become very sticky semi solid allowed it to cool overnight and got soft soap structure as you showed in video. Now my question was 1.Is it nessary to wait for 3 days ageing process to make final solution. 2.What chemical changes ageing does. 3. Ageing makes any difference in effectiveness of JWA on pest. 4. Can we store as it is soft soap instead of dissolving in water as stock solution. By this we can make it easy to carry any where. Please reply for these.

1. Yes. It is advantageous to make clear and transparent JWA only when it is aged for 3 days. 2. It is a process in which natural oil is more completely water-soluble. 3. Yes. That's right. 4. Storage is possible. If you want a hard soap, it is better to use potassium hydroxide instead of sodium hydroxide.

Aloha. I copied your formula for the 10L of JWA. My solution looks exactly like yours. I did every process. except for the 10 L. Because I only had a 5 gallon bucket. After everything was complete today was the day to use it. So I sprayed a plant just a test it and I noticed after three hours it started to shrivel and it looked like it was being eaten by some type of chemical. After touching the plant and adding water to rinse off the leaves I noticed it was really thick and soapy. Is this accurate? Is there a way to communicate with you so I can send you pictures? Please help.

1. Do a pH test of your wetting agents. It sounds like it might be too caustic. You want the pH to be between 7 and 10. 2. Do NOT spray plants during the day when any sun might get on them. Anything you put on the leaves will magnify the effect of the sun and could burn them.

If you dont have a paint stirrer for your drill you can use a plastic hangar for clothes. Just cut the long piece off leaving a hook at one end. Not sure if it works for this but worth a try.

Mr Cho, I have made JWA 15 L with composition Soft Water 1st : 375 ml,Potassium Hydroxide 408 gr, oil palm 2.7 Ltr and Soft Water 2nd 12 Ltr. i used Ground water. The result is not clear, like milk solution. Can I use this solution as JWA?

Even groundwater has a lot of soft water. If the color of JWA is milk, it doesn't seem like soft water. In this case, you can use it by increasing the amount used. If you do not have soft water, it is recommended to use tap water.

You can check it in 3 days. If you do not have JWA, you can test using liquid soap made from natural oils.
