RU-vidr Project Farms just did a review on various jump starters. The Noco Genius did extremely poor. You should check it out so you don't get screwed up on some mountain.

Makes me wish I had a time machine! Would’ve loved to do this in my early 20s. Freedom to travel wherever and do it alone. Kudos, young fella! You’re really living!
kent tegneskog two reasons.....he’s 6yrs old and she’s 4yrs old. I am looking at some campers. Not as free spirited as this but close enough. Never thought I’d be into these types of things but here I am.
@@royzender i feel the same way i do wish i could do this but my daughter is 4 yrs old as well i tell my wife shes lucky the van life movement wasn't bigger before we met id be in the mountains somewhere lol
Detractors in the comment sections in these types of videos, reek of jealousy and bitterness. This guy is living the life he wants, and doing what he loves. He has a fantastic and practical set up for the type of work he does, and is clearly having fun. Maybe some of you should focus on building the life you want, instead of whining about what he's doing.
Sure but there is nothing wrong with pointing out the extreme privilege this guy has to live this life. He is a recent college grad that apparently has a ton of cash. 99% of the people in the world don't have the opportunity to attend a world class university no matter how smart they are. This guy did it and came out with a ton of cash. It is a fantasy to state that everyone should quit whining and just become him. Having said that...good for him for doing well with what he was given.
Hell yeah... and do it while you're young and able. I'm envious for sure. I'm seeing more young people getting college out of the the way and then "backpacking" as opposed to taking a year or two off first. That's not the "have it now" generation... that's the "I earned my time to explore"
Man, I know I’m not about this live, but it inspires me so much when I see people like you doing and working on what they want insted of just seeing their life pass by. The work you put on that jeep is a lifetime lesson!
To everyone saying this is equal to homelessness, bruh we just have a different idea of what a home is that's all, I can see how exhilirating it would be to live like this, every day would be an adventure. 2 things to keep in mind: Good insurance/dont get in an accident. Successfully make money online to stay on the move.
so you think anyone watching a video and not liking it or its content must be jealous. People like different things. That is what the like and dislike button is for. Get a grip
In 1990 , 30 years ago, I had 1986 Toyota land cruiser fj60. And I turned it in to full time living house/ camper. I didn't do it because I needed place to live. I did it to se if it can be done !!! And than I was so impressed with result, so I decide to hit the road and see some places. I was living out if my car for 7 years !!! Constantly changing and chiseling my modifications to perfection !! I did travel all over north, central and south America, all over Europe, Asia, all over Russia and some Africa !!! My land cruiser is hold up perfectly !!! Well.. I didn't abuse it very much , and was trying not to push it to its limit !!! My goal was never rent a room , never buy a hot shower,, and in 7 years of my adventure I never did !!! Alway spend a night in my car and take at list one a day shower with shower I built my self !!! I have to say I'm in my early 50s , and I'm thinking to hit the road again with my wife !!! Fridom of open road, that adventure is the best of what life can bring to you , I won't to my wife experience that to !!!
I camped out of my 2019 Jeep Cherokee for a week on a road trip. It was okay but rough at times. Your set up is such an inspiration. I loved this video so much. Your creativity and ingenuity are amazing
For people complaining about how expensive this setup is, a little reminder that it appears he is living/working in California, where one or two months of rent probably already cost more than a majority of his gear.
That's so true, people easily forget that this guy isn't paying rent so the extra gear is easier to acquire than if you had to worry about the cost of an apt with all the utility bills
I haven't taken a warm shower in months by choice at home. Taking cold showers has been one of the best things have done for myself. It really wakes you up and I feel keeps your immune system strong. Its almost the same feeling afterward of running or working out hard, just by taking a cold shower.
Had that tent in my jeep 10 years ago, here in Brazil, it was custom made by a very cool company, the main difference from mine to yours is that where the ladder is we have a cover all the way around that area to use it as a dressing room or some where closed to stay in snow/rain etc. it's very nice.
Very impressive! A Jeep Wrangler is my dream. Van life is another dream. You just gave me a great idea. Thanks for sharing! May God bless your journey.
I'm 53 and in good shape and have taken on my photography much more serious;lly I think you have just convinced me to skip the van and save a ton of money Im just crawling around the woods taking photos what more do I really need !! Good work Drew
Hey. I've talking to you when you were parked over at Jordan station. I didn't know you had a channel. Very cool. Look forward to watching your adventures.
Drew Simms So how did you fund yourself before and through this experience? I’m really curious as I’ve wanted to do a long term road trip. Did you have money coming in or have to save for the whole trip?
This is incredible. The shots, the planning, the modifications, and the great editing are all inspiring. But you playing Darius in this video won my heart. Enjoy the awesome life you have!
“I’d say the kitchen is the most valuable thing I have, this fridge is the most valuable I couldn’t go without it, this roof is the most valuable thing I have, this heater is the single most valuable thing I have in this car”
hats off to you man this is really inspiring to me and makes me want to do something similar! Your photos and videos are also on point keep it up man !
Nice set-up. Doing the build yourself makes it easier on you because you know what everything is for, where everything is located and how to fix things when something isn't working.
The Internet really is such magic. I've been looking at Jeeps and Rav 4s the last couple of weeks, considering the possibility of taking off into the wildes (of Australia). Tonight I googled "living in car" and your video came up with a complete package. Thank you man, and happy trails!
I know!! I though at first he might have meant a CJ8... but those are only 2 door. There is not a JK on the road today that I would consider 'old'..... MAYBE a TJ... surely a YJ... and definitely any CJ would be OLD.
@@am_i_sam_i_am not sure what you are arguing because the entire point of the comment was that calling a "JK" old makes me feel old. You are proving my point. The only thing I got wrong was it was his uncle not his dad. He said, "when I was a kid my uncle had an old 2 door JK". Comment had nothing to do with his age, his uncle's age, who owned the car, etc.... Its as simple as this - "JK" and "old" dont belong in the same sentence and when something that has only been around for 13 years is considered old and I've been around for triple that it makes me feel old. Not confusing. Pretty sure most adult Jeep owners would agree with my tongue in cheek statement.
Went down a rabbit hole shopping for a Jeep and stumbled upon this. Always SO amazed how people can outfit these into a sustainable living space. This looks awesome, props!
If Jeep hasn’t sponsored you already we should file a petition. Using a Jeep pretty much to its fullest potential on top of making some high quality content my dude
It would be super cool if the awning had roll down tarps on either side so if it rains, you can still sit under it. Also would help keep in warmth or keep out heat if needed
*I really enjoyed your video!* You should get yourself a Classic Military Jeep cargo trailer to tow behind it. You could pick one up for really cheap! it would look Awesome! & it would open up a whole new world of living & storage options for you.
Your setup is great! I love everything you've done. So cool to see you do this in a Jeep Wrangler. I had a Commander, which I miss so much, and would like to get another one and do the same type of setup. Well done! Thanks for sharing!
Super interesting info. I'd like to do something like this with an F150. But, that's not how your battery works. It's more durable and will recover better, but if it's dead, it's dead. If you don't have power for lights, it's not going to magically have power to start. Lol
It's refreshing to see one of these videos of a more realistic look at a camping/overland rig. not some of these RU-vidrs that have tens of thousands of dollars of the newest and most expensive gear. And they act like it's no big deal..
