DIY jute pendant light for dining room

Let me show you how I made our new dining room pendant light that was inspired by the Lulu and Georgia Tarek Pendant Light. It’s made from thrifted lampshade cage frames and jute yarn for a fraction of the cost of the inspiration light and it looks super stylish in our dining room.
Dining room lighting tends to be so expensive but doesn’t have to be if you just try to make your own.

I’m so doing this for an outdoor light above my dining table under a tree. Figured I could protect it from the elements by wrapping it in a plastic when not in use. Ty for this!
@juliakonya7266
@juliakonya7266 3 месяца назад
You could use a synthetic cord which also helps protect it from the elements. I have done that with outdoor macrame pieces. Good luck!

I am so impressed! I've tried to make pendant lights before but I couldn't figure out what to use as the base that would be big enough. I never thought to use thrifted lamp shades! Mind blown! 🤯 You are a genius!

@@juliakonya7266 can you solder coat hanger wire? If so the possibilities using newer syle lamp shades would be great. I was always chicken to try soldering. You have inspired me to try!!

I watched a YT video where the creator used a bic lighter to solder coat hangers because he didnt have a solder iron. Definitely going to try it with hangers
