Kareena Kapoor's picture in a draped Payal Khandwala dress as recently been all over the internet and pinterest.
I happened to come across one of these pictures of Kareena Kapoor in her fabulous designer draped dress and thought that the styling was just lovely.
I also thought that Kareena Kapoors draped kurta would make for a very quick, easy and stylish DIY.
So I got plotting and planning, I got 2 meters of red rayon fabric and got to work.
My four years of engineering came to my rescue and I could deconstruct the draped kurta in my head.
This is a quick simple easy DIY kurta dress, inspired by Kareena Kapoors kurta.

Hi. Great effort. Though the drapes start from the shoulder to the hip in Kareenas outfit.In your design it starts from below the armhole. Just thought I'd share that observstion.😊

Totally agree Vanessa...its not identical at all....far from it. It is just inspired by her kurta nd I was just trying to make it as simple as possible for me and others who are not too skilled with needlework. Great observation..lots of love
