I'm a 65year old grandma and you remind me of me. My dad taught me how to use tools and I'm so grateful to him. There's nothing ANYONE can't do with knowledge and determination!!!
Same. I used to watch my dad build things and work on cars. I also watched him cook! He taught me so much. Both of my parents did. I miss them very, very much.
I know I built a cat stand first thing I ever built for inside my house so kitty could look outside the window and my brother who's a contractor and my husband both said cute and i'm like cute i'm thinking to myself it's freaking awesome. You go out and buy all your tools sista. We got this. LoL
I have thousands and thousands of dollars in tools. A full wood working shops worth of machines and beyond the basics for automotive test and repair and ag equipment repair, when my wife is asking me to buy her her own tools I drop every thing and rush to the store to get her those tools. Why because I am not allowed to leave my tools in the house when done using them and she keeps hers in the house. It is a win, win for me. As I will eventually end up using her tools at some time or another. Plus I want my wife to be able to fend for herself should anything ever happen to me. She will at least have the know how. Don't get me wrong I laugh my ass off when she assembles stuff on her own, Then she hands me the tools and says here you go smart ass fix it. Now if I could just keep my adult kids from borrowing my tools and not returning them especially the two daughters.
I absolutely love that ur manager gets to watch/see you build things for urself or refinish a piece of furniture.. she is seeing her momma be independent and a BOSS!! Glenda u are rocking this momma thing. ❤️
It was a little flimsier than I expected. I had to add a 2x2 piece of wood to the bottom on the rear side in order to stabilize it better ru-vid.comUgkxXTh-lz-8W6GcB219vTLp27-MxbZYObBX . It is also starting to bow a little at the outer wall ( I've had it up for about 6 months), I've already had a shelf tumble down because of the bow and the fact that the little shelf brackets are quite short. I went out to home depot and got some longer ones so that the shelves don't tumble down again. Overall, it looks very nice for the price and it holds a lot ( I use it as a pantry). I am very satisfied with my purchase. I just strongly suggest reinforcing it before putting it up.
Glenda you did an awesome job there. Well done. You're an inspiration to all us women. I'm 51 years of age and having watched my mother's reaction to repairs/diy growing up, I too was afraid of drills. "Leave that to the men" and I'd hire someone to put up a curtain rail or a shelf. Or ask a friend with a drill. Since getting interested in flipping furniture in the last year I''ve bought myself 2 electric sanders (I wasn't even aware of how many types of sanders there are!) and a cordless drill and 2 batteries. And I've used the drill several times. I'm looking forward to the day when I can say, "we need better storage. I'll build something". Pocket hole jig is on my future purchase list. Thank you so much Glenda. Such a great gift to give to your daughter.
First thing hugs and kisses to your little angel💕 All I can say is wow, wow. It’s unbelievable that a small girl can build this huge cabinets. Your awesome💕👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Glenda, I was wondering why I didn't see new videos. So glad you are feeling better. Interesting process. I'm not planning. a kitchen makeover. However loved you outcome. The manager is just as cute as ever. Stay safe.
I am blown away by the, not just skill that you have, but the creativity that shows in your work. It looks like Skillshare needs to hit you up to educate people. Great job.
You have learned so many amazing skills! The fridge surround cabinets are beautiful and look professional. I have enjoyed your furniture flips but was floored with the extent of your bathroom renovation right down to building the vanity so I know you are good at anything you set out to do!
I used to be an MA, and was always doing things around the house still wearing my scrubs, so I love seeing you doing home improvement projects in scrubs! 😋 Now I am a supervisor at Home Depot, so thanks! 😉
Wow 🤩!!! This look is totally professional Carpentry 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼… I say this because at out old home we paid a company to custom make all our cabinetry. And I must say I like yours better 😍☺️🥰… I love that you used a base to raise to the ceilings it makes the area look bigger . It ties in beautiful with your remodeled kitchen. And it’s sealed with your precious managers approval ☺️😍🥰… You do such beautiful work 💜💜💜. You use tools that I see and have no idea 🤷🏻♀️ what the pieces are 🙈😊 or what they are meant to do . You are doing a good job young lady. I think I would have put hinges on fake door and painted inside with blackboard paint and installed calendar and dry erase board to keep up with daily tasks on inside of door. Command strips are a favorite of mine.
Glenda, great job Man!!! I'm glad it came out great because the Manager was on you every step of the way ensuring quality work!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
