For those looking for the panels she used, it's just 1/4 or 1/8 inch melamine panel. You can Google that it will show you what Lowe's or home depot has in your area!

I cannot believe I found a cheap, easy way to make my apartment’s kitchen look nicer without losing a cent of my security deposit 😍 I can’t wait to do this, it looks too cute. I’m gonna do a basic white and black or blue haha

Based on this video and a few others, I did my brown kitchen in a smooth white finish (paper comes in a multitude of colors & textures, very opaque). I couldn't find the exact boards at Home Depot. But, mine were about $4.25 for a large one. I was able to get two large/long cabinet doors and one drawer front out of it. The panels are attached with a thin two sided tape. I tried 2 sided velcro but, it left a gap between the cabinet door and panel. It didn't look good cause you can see the it from the side. It will work well like in the video because they're sandwiched between something. I used white duct tape to only cover the visible part of the cabinets. I only used the contact paper on the doors. I have cabinets above the stove and sink it is holding very well to steam and heat, no peeling or buckling, with even duct tape. I cleaned and wiped the cabinets down with soapy water/clean lint free towel and then a little rubbing alcohol to make sure any dust, dirt and oil is removed, so that the paper will stick to a clean surface. I used a credit card to apply contact paper and a pin prick get out air bubbles if necessary. Some people misted the counter top with water to adjust paper. I didn't do that. The paper lifts easily for adjustment. Just be careful. Get a NEW exacto knife for sharp, clean cuts. I got the drawer pulls for $2 each from AliExpress (ships from China, could take from 1-5 weeks depending on customs & availability), they are spoons, knives and forks and high quality (1 week to receive). I also covered the counter top with a heavy duty contact paper in navy blue marble (Amazon, $12 per roll), I used 2 rolls on a counter that is 72" x 25" with a 22" x 25" sink (you can use caulk around sink). There is a horizontal seam but, it does not show and no water gets underneath it. It has been about 5 months since the makeover. My kitchen sees very heavy activity daily and this contact paper holds up EXTREMELY well to spills, water and stains. I wish I could add before and after pics. I also purchased thin, under the cabinet puck lights that plug in and change between 5 different colors and patterns (Amazon, $30 for string of 4). They're attached with sticky pads and hold up well but you can use screws. White contact paper (appx $15 - $18 per roll, DC-Fix brand. Covered 13 fronts (18" x 23") and 4 drawers (5" x 17"). I purchased around 5 or 6 rolls to have a extra paper. I highly recommend you do your research first and check different techniques from other people. Hope this helps.

It's the attention to detail which gets me every time. Would never have thought to put duck tape between the cupboards so it all looks seamless, and the fact you made the new doors bigger than the original doors so the doors sit flush to each other and look more slick and modern. I rent and used it in my closet. When I moved, it came right off. I don’t know what you do in your real like but you’d make an amazing decorator. You have an expert eye for finishing touches.
