Hi Tasha, The second I heard you say today was going to be a little different than usual, I knew you were about to show off your talents on a grand scale😂. I want you to know I was screaming at my iPad screen accessible beige…. please pick accessible beige, such a beautiful color. This transformation took your kitchen into the current decade you did an amazing job, and props to your brother for painting the cabins🥰.

Amazing job Tasha!!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 everything you thrift and touch turns out beautifully 😍. I am going to try to convince my husband to do this countertop make over on our rental property. It turns out so nicely ❤❤❤❤
What a lot of hard work! This is beautiful and so inspiring to see people using what they have. It does flow with your home. Now you need to give us a tour of your home to see how it all flows together!:) I can tell you have very good taste.
So glad ur back and so sorry for whatever health issues your going through! I know all to well what that’s like, we’ve been thru it this past month especially. Your kitchen turned out amazing. I never had any doubt honestly. The countertop I’m so impressed with girl. It all looks fantastic!
Nice makeover! It really updates the space. I did something similar in my kitchen: painted the cabinets and resurfaced the countertops. I used beyond paint and got a smooth finish with a foam roller. I also put in a tile backsplash which was actually fun and really adds to the modern look of the kitchen.
Looks beautiful - great tutorial & presentation of the products you used. You have so much great content wrapped up in 1 video I don’t know what I liked the most. Thanks for sharing your experience & hard-work. God bless you. 😊
Thank you! I actually did add some DIY cafe curtains a week or two afterwards in this video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dAmNfzDIRY4.htmlsi=I7MLe6Af326wZ4TN
Hi Tasha. I am sorry to hear you were not feeling well. I hope You're feeling much better. Your kitchen makeover is a double WOW!! How fantastic!! It Seriously looks like a whole new kitchen with brand new cabinets and a new countertop. I need to do my kitchen also and you have given me the inspiration I need. Thank you so much!!
The kitchen turned out beautifully! I have so many projects that I’d like to do but time (and a stubborn husband who wants to leave well enough alone), they will get done eventually! I do plan to do a board and batten wall in my livingroom over the 4th of July weekend. Wish me luck!

Ok clearly I made that comment before I watched the whole video Honestly I cringed then after I saw what you did 😮😍 Wow Tasha I didn't even know that product even existed That's an incredible difference 👏 Thanks for letting us know about this ❤
@TashaatHome at that price such a huge risk but man alive it sure paid off Looks fantastic Honestly you'd fool me cause they look real Like the real deal high dollar countertops 😍
They say yes you can put something hot. I don't, because I'm just not in the habit of doing that anyway. The top coat can scratch if you drag something gritty/heavy over it--we have a couple light scratches that I don't think anyone else would notice. You can re-topcoat it to make it look like new later on, they tell me. Staining--turmeric stained it a little but I got it off with a little Comet and light rubbing. But I would avoid direct contact with turmeric. It's just such a pigmented spice, it would stain a lot of surfaces.
How long did the kitchen take you to do?? My kitchen doesn’t have as many cupboards as yours but seems overwhelming to try and paint🤨 Also the countertops looks very hard. Your kitchen turned out stunning!!
Well my brother ended up doing the cabinet faces so I can't give an accurate time on how long it would take to paint them all. I painted all the cabinet boxes but not the doors themselves and that took me maybe 3 or 4 hours for the main cabinetry and another 2 to 3 hours to do the island since I did the special treatment on it. Then for the countertops that process takes several days since there are various steps and they need to dry in between. 😊
Would you say the top coat of the counters is a glossy finish or matte. I couldn't tell. I'm considering something like this for my counters until I can get stone counters.
Do you keep all your small appliances (coffee maker, can opener, toaster, stand mixer, etc.) and cooking utensils in cabinets and pull them out when needed?
Yes everything except the coffee maker! It is actually on the counter in the video to the left of the sink. But the rest of everything you mentioned is in a cabinet and we pull it out. In the past I used to keep my toaster out, but we have a four slot toaster and it's pretty big and clunky on the counter so I put it away. And as you saw I have all my wooden utensils in the crock shown but we do have a lot more in the drawers as well.
You can still paint them ☺️ If it were me I would still start with a light sand first, high grit like maybe 220, and use a quality primer. Thank you for watching!
