@diyhvacguy
@diyhvacguy Год назад
Thats fascinating! I'm definitely going to do some more research on that. From what I can see they sell a 3 ton system, AHRI certified, thats 18 seer with smart thermostat and remote for 3500. They have an option on the heat kit, but it would only be electric auxilary heat, so the heating system wouldnt be as efficient as gas I would assume. I'd love to install one of these sytems and see what its all about! Thanks for the comment! Cheers

Have you had any issues with your winch stopping on you part way up? I just did this same set up and my winch is stopping about 6 feet up while hoisting up. I believe there is a thermal switch causing it to stop until it cools off.
@diyhvacguy
@diyhvacguy Год назад
It’s probably the metal safety switch thing that goes around the cable. If that gets triggered because it isn’t straight up and down it will shut off.

You should look into doing product reviews of 3 or more tools at time, similar to Project Farm. That is going to be a content strategy that will be favored by the recent google search algo updates. For instance, you did a short on the best drywall anchor. You should try doing a follow up that shows 3 types of anchors and do tests on them. That will be a successful style of video content that you can build up the channel. Another would be to test brazing vs zoomlock. That is a type of content no one else is making so it's a niche you can fill.
@diyhvacguy
@diyhvacguy Год назад
Thanks for the insights Matt! I’m definitely sticking with hvac. I’m not going to be doing the handyman videos as it’s such a broad topic. Hvac is my thing and I love the work and creating the videos for it. But reviewing three items in the field seems like a good strategy. I do need to focus more on shorts for sure. I’ve been out of town on a volunteer construction project and will not be back till October but I’m hoping to shoot a lot of videos starting in October :) as always thanks a million for your input! I really appreciate it!
@MattJonesYT
@MattJonesYT Год назад
@@diyhvacguy The main thing is to not just review a single item since that's what most people do and often they end up making content that's basically a copy of what's in amazon reviews, so google treats it like duplicate content. The way to get into a space of unique content which google is looking for is to make content that's a new combination such as group comparisons

In order for this lift to do all the work, as in hold all the weight, the extension ladder would have to be straight up as the lift is going on. As the weight your lifting gets higher, it makes the ladder top heavy and your ladder becomes unstable, prone to tipping one way or the other. If you have the ladder on any type of angle, toward the building, your supporting most of the weight with 1 arm while your other arm/hand is using the winch controller. Seems like a disaster in the making. I must be missing something here. Did you anchor the cleats of the ladder or something? Just seems way too unsafe. I’d rather just pay for a crane lift.
@diyhvacguy
@diyhvacguy Год назад
Yes I always anchor the bottom. It is not unsafe. It might look goofy but its easy to maneuver. But to each his own! I just wanted to share is all 👍🏼
@mikec.2746
@mikec.2746 Год назад
@@diyhvacguy I’m not criticizing, just an observation. Curious, how did you anchor the cleats? After I saw your video, I found another where the screwed it down to a piece of wood. But if you don’t secure the wood, the entire ladder can slide out. It looks like a great idea, I just have safety concerns is all. Maybe I’m just overthinking it?
