I think you should have given a shout out to Further Fabrication for his design. I am currently building the y1200. I was wondering why you have 4 stepper drivers? One per axis, {X, Y, Z}, I understand. Are you using using two motors for one axis? If so, why?

I made U-axis. For rotary jig. I dont want switch cables between X and U, thats way i made 4.

How did your Y1200 turn out? I have just ordered all the parts to start the build myself.

@@Weird_guy79 I basically have the machine built however I have to finish the wiring and figure out fume extraction. Because I live in a planned subdivision, the homes are fairly close so I don't feel right just venting outside. I upgraded to shielded wire to ensure no cross communication. I found a website to figure out exactly where the lift shocks should be placed because the initial location was too strong and it was flexing the top. I was concerned it would eventually crack the acrylic. I also changed the laser tube direction to be along the back to get the machine close to the wall. This also allowed me to add a fourth mirror with a beam combiner to make aligning the laser head more accurate. If you haven't order your aluminum extrusion, you may want to go with non-anodized to make grounding easier.

I just designed my own laser cutter and I am shocked to see that we came up with the same design

Can I use 6mm gt2 belt for this because it is only available in my place?
@Do.ityourself
@Do.ityourself Год назад
for X and Y is ok. but for Z i dont recomended 6mm. table is heavy and motir need much more power to move. check aliexpress, you can buy any size of belt

@geminiman2831 Год назад
@@Do.ityourself I am only going to make x and y! What size do you use? Can we use 10mm? Further fabrication told 9mm is the max size which will fit!

@geminiman2831 Год назад
@@Do.ityourself I have found that you have used 2028 corner connector but I am unable find these type of connector in my place so could I use 2020 corner connector instead of this? And I have one more query can I use sliding t nut for all purpose instead of spring t slot nut and rotating t slot nut?
@Do.ityourself
@Do.ityourself Год назад
yes, you can use 20x20 corners. I use GT2 9mm for XY ans GT2 10mm for Z

@@Do.ityourself Hm thx! So 10mm wouldn't fit for x and y? So I will stay with 6mm!
