Dude, it is a great project, turned out excellwnt and thw video is very helpfull, the only thing is that I want to do one of this that takes an hdmi source signal and repriduces it live. Is it possible?
Dude, this is amazing !! It's possible to replace any CCFL backlight, with RGBW LEDs in this way? (to improve the color and contrast, connected to a VGA or another HDMI and put "mirror display" in Windows configuration) have you ever tried something like this with an old LCD? Thank you. ps: Year 2022, there is any new and better controller & LEDs?
hello Buddy ! I found only 16x16= 256 Leds(panel-modul) ist that the same produce and how many lines i can take with a T8000 Controller? 5x256=1280 LED vertikal and with 8 Lines Horizontal =10240LED is that possible ? thank you for your answer !
Hey emperor! I do have an email, which you can find in the homepage of my channel here, but unfortunately I dont have the time to take such a task. I could provide the Pcbs though, if you were interested in making one yourself. Cheers!
Hey Fabio Greetings from Greece! This whole structure must have cost arround 600 €. But all the components were purchased quite some years ago! I will make sure to fix the description links, so that they work again. Cheers
Can you connect such a screen to an old gaming console? I'm planning on making a NES controller coffee table that would connect to a 256 x 240 LED screen (since 256x240 is the average pixel resolution of a NES) and I wonder if that works. I'm very much new to this stuff
I guess you could make it happen in your pc! I mean set up the microphone there, with an eq (I imagine) and just output the video into your led display. Though i cant remember if you can stream live through a t8000 controller, its been a while since!
Hey inferno! And sorry for the late reply.. My brother designed those with us having something commercial in mind.. But things got a bit too busy here lately! I ‘ll either have them available to buy soon, or I ‘ll just put them out there for you guys to use if I never find the time to take it further! I ‘ll let you know for sure Thanks bud 🍺
In fact, even your phone has a better picture, whatever the phone! But thats not the point here! Those types of setups are used in video walls or advertising displays. You can use them in full daylight and they are also visible from quite a distance! A distance that would make your (or mine!) Tv look unplugged! Cheers
Hey Totok! I have used the T-1000s a few videos back from this one. Methodology on creating a program is the same as shown here! Thing is that, the T1000 is able to drive up to 2048 pixels (supposedely. More like 1024, then it gets laggy) so I cannot use it on this display here.
PANTELIS k hey buddy! Yep, that's fairly accurate! Then you add the cost of them custom made pcbs, nearly 100 more for the controller, throw in there another one for the PSs and little jibber jabbers, and a ton of your time (that's metric!)....It's definitely pricey! But when done and running, you could instantly pick this up amongst 1000 of those "HUB 75" type displays ! (Οι κλασσικες που βλεπουμε παντου στην ερμου 😉) 🍺
Ciaran Whelan thanks Ciaran! With this control system, unfortunately, it can not..But using other (not so "clean" lets call it!) methods, it certainly could! Cheers
Ok.. now I'm interested. I'm thinking a way to stream my 3d printers progress to a panel like this so I can have the panel in the next room. That is what I was hoping could be achieved.
Now that's a nice one! But ain't that a bit of an overkill?! They can put out a "terrible" amount of brightness that you wouldn't wanna use on this application! What about using those pre-made 64x64 matrices? (They are significantly cheaper too 😄)
