Thank you! The black fishnet stockings tip was SUPER! I had a pair lying around, so I tried it and I love the look! Subtle and takes off the sharp digital look. Saved me over 100 bucks because I don’t need the black pro mist 😊

At the 2:33 mark, how did you secure the netting on the back of the lens? You were using a standard L lens that has the contacts on the back? How do you rear-net a photo lens? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

I'll have to get me one of those energizer lights! It's so small and doesn't look like it would do much, but wow! It makes a huge difference!

I shot a short film a couple months ago using the warm pro mist filter from Tiffen, a fantastic filter, that added a specific stylist look to the shots, that worked for the period drama I was shooting.

Just a heads up to the Film Riot army, Best Buy has certain sizes of the black pro-mist lens filter on sale now. Don't know for how long, but they are on sale as I write this. Write, Shoot, Edit, Repeat.

Hey Ryan, I've switched from FCPX to Adobe Premiere pro CS6. It's been three weeks since I've switched and I love it. I just have one problem. I can't seem to add the widescreen effect to my footage while exporting. Please make a tutorial on this! PLZ! Anyway, love the show as always!

Film Riot Another classic way to create new creative-like options w/ them stockings is to double them up, or do so with different textured types. Old school baby! Did you and Josh go to Target to get the stockings together? And if so, did you make eye contact with the checker at checkout? ;)

Find some people you have common interests with. Get together and do a project. Then do another. Another. Don't stop shooting! Ryan always says keep doing projects. It doesn't necessarily matter what the video is about because you will always learn something on set or in post. You'll do fine.

Being in film school now. You will be surprised how many people are there who have done none to hardly any video work before film school. A lot its their first time working with a camera and equipment.

I found some 100W LEDs on eBay for only $7-8. The can produce 10.000 lumen so they are really strong, maybe you could come up with some big lights with those LEDs.

I think the net stocking looks way better then the pro-mist. The pro-mist does too much of a glow, it looks very similar to common post-solutions such as normal glow filter.

Don't know if you still want/need an answer, but the camera he is shooting with is a Canon c100. It's not technically a dslr because it's meant for video, so the audio inputs are an accessory that comes with the camera. It is not compatible with dslrs, or any other cameras other than the c100 that I know of. Hope this helps!

Normaly that lantern costs about $20 in the US but in Europe it costs about 120€ on amazon (don't ask me why) but I found a special offer there for only 30€!!!
