Great, clear, step-by-step video. Waiting for my wife to want to modify our RV interior. Really appreciate your helpful tips like the glue and sawdust. Also glad to see you using protective gear during your work unlike a lot of other videos these days.

Haha I have my moments where I skip the protective gear. But, if I’m cutting a lot of wood, there’s just too much dust and noise not to 😂

Several years ago I attended a vintage trailer bootcamp that had classes on rebuilding trailers. I went to a class on cabinets and shocked that the instructor built the cabinets just like in a home and said "it only weighs an extra 300 lbs" I was like this guys nuts, that's a lot of extra weight. You do nice work and I enjoy watching. I did a frame off rebuild of a 1967 silver streak. Every thing was redone.

At the 5:40 mark - you start routine for your insert. Two questions. 1- what router bit did you use 2- what material did you use as your insert

Nicely done with one recommendation. Router those door interior edges for the panel inlay prior to screwing the pieces together.

Could I do something similar to this process for the cabinets above the stove in hybrid?

Absolutely! This is pretty much the standard on how they build them in all RVs

At the 4:20 mark you state when cutting the width of the face frame to remember to subtract 2.5 inches from each side. Excuse my ignorance but why?
@fallenintocamping

I must have made the 2 side rails add up to 2.5 inches. So when making the middle pieces for the frames, you subtract however wide your 2 side pieces are to calculate the total length for the middle pieces. For example, you want the total width of your face frame to be 20 inches. And you rip each face frame piece to 2 inches. You know you will have one frame piece on each side, so that’s 4 inches total in width already accounted for. Then you take the total width (20) minutes the width already accounted for (4) and you get 16 inches for the middle pieces. Hope that makes sense!

It doesn't matter if no one will ever see the front of the cabinet inside the truck. It's called "pride in you work", which you have. Btw, weird is a good thing, And OMG, you told us your weight. You are officially invited to the BBQ, bring tater salad. 😊😊😊

I know whenever I look in the comments for any additional info, I'm going to see a lot of mansplaining commentary and just inappropriate comments about you. I respect your choice not to respond.
