tried this!! Purples or blues or generally darker colours don't apply too well, kind of patchy, but pinks or rouges seem to work fine. Also, they start to melt if you leave them out in the open so keep in fridge!!! :)

If anyone is trying to find different substances to use besides coconut oil, Vaseline and olive oil work great! But with the olive oil you might want to add a little more crayon because it's already a liquid!

If you don't feel like making it, Hot Topic sells some odd lipstick colors (I know because I wear black when I perform, I'm a lead guitarist for a metal band)
Not all wax is the same. Crayons are not meant to be melted for candles or hygienic to put on your face, they have chemicals in them that become toxic when burned, melted, etc... you should not take advice like this from someone who doesn't really know what they're doing.
+Hart Mena he's right though.. when they say non-toxic they don't mean "melt it down and put it on your face". Non-toxic means that if a child ate a crayon it wouldn't kill them, it could still make them sick though, there's a difference
Mako Barnsley Gosh, you don't have to be so rude about it. Judging by your picture, you're like what? 11? You obviously don't know basic science. When you put plastic into heat, IT MELTS. When you put glass into heat, it doesn't melt, it just heats it up like she did in the video. And don't be rude to Crafte Cween, she was just stating the obvious. She said good luck which is nice. That's nothing to be offended about. Also, when you put the crayon and the oil into the glass, you can wash it out afterwards.
yes you can use Vaseline it just works the same as coconut oil but Vaseline is a little more moisturizing because it's very not a very oily but it has a certain oil to it so that's what makes it moisturizing 😀👄💜

How is this safe? Doesn't it say on the crayon box not allowed to be swallowed or something? I mean there's like wax on crayons.. and wax is cancerous is it not? Idk y but this freaks me out. O.O
Crayola brand crayons are the safest since they targeted towards kids and children to tend to put weird stuff in their mouths so Crayola crayons are non-toxic and are safe to eat but it might cause tummy troubles. As for wax causing cancer, crayons are made from Paraffin Wax which is used in spa treatments and other products such as LIPSTICKS and is considered safe. I think if you burn paraffin wax, the flumes MIGHT cause cancer but there's not much research on that. So pretty much this is safe, might cause tummy troubles though.
I am with Joan on this. This totally doesn't look safe. "I'm melting crayolas, mom, and putting them on my lips because they look pretty." any parent would be concerned hearing that from their child at any age because something cautious and intuitive in us warns us that, that may not be the wisest, safest or healthiest thing for our very sensitive bodies. I don't think wax is the safest thing to be putting on your lips and while there are loads of chemicals in lipsticks too there are also reports of long term damage for some females who have used lipsticks as a result. If wax is used in common cheap lipsticks then why do you think its so cheap? Like anything else in this country the more unhealthy it is the cheaper it is...not to mention it really does look like melted crayola on the lips, no offense. I would look up ways to make an organic lipstick. That would seem the safest and no studies are required to know that the Earth has always been reliable in providing healing and nourishment for our bodies in every way. Stay safe, ladies, and think of the long term effects! Things always seem safe until something goes wrong.
