You have to melt the vaseline and then put the eyeshadow. This way the lipstick will be more pigmented.

Also, Meg put in a lot of Vaseline; she even said "the more Vaseline u use, the more forgiving it is", so that's also probably why it was so sheer. Moral of the story, don't use so much Vaseline

+Katie Dunn it should last all day because it is Vaseline. Last time i did this with Chapstick because at the time I didn't have Vaseline but I would not recommend using chapstick because it just wiped right off when I ate and stuff. But Vaseline should stay on all day because it eventually dries and the pigments still there.

I did the mixing one yesterday, I wanted a rose gold lipstick so I took a rose colour lipstick and melted it and added some gold eyeshadow, poured it in a empty lipstick container and voila! rose gold lipstick!

I have used tricks like this all the time but instead I start with a nude lipstick if I want a light coloured eyeshadow lipstick. For darker colours I use a dark lipstick similar to that shade which helps it pop even more I love using this trick especially when I do ombré lips...this really works

The way I do mine is u put vaseline in a cup put it in the microwave for like 20 seconds then take it out put ur eye shadow in it mix it put honey in it and put it in ur container then but in fridge for like 5 minutes and then it's done and it lasts long to 🙂😊😃

I just did it Carrie's way and it works really well. I just dip my finger into the eyeshadow then onto my lips (after putting on Vaseline). The lipsticks I usually get don't match my skintone properly, but the shade of eyeshadow I had works really well (who knew!). I'll now have to go out and buy another eyeshadow just for this purpose!

I put an EOS lip balm on my lips and then went in with a shiny white eyeshadow and it made this really pretty silvery color. This seems like it would be great for cosplay.

I did mine im this DIRECT order 1:add baby oil 2:take a piece off of your regular lipstick 3:add eye shadow of your choice 4: stir i used a lipgloss stick with lipgloss still on And your done!!

For a matte lip color with eyeshadow I apply white face paint to my lips then apply the color over top with a small brush and use a small angled brush to clean it up. You should moisturize your lips before hand. I find it comes out much neater and put together looking.

It is easier to just put it on directly because it might color your finger but it is easy to wash off. and it gives you that nice cute not dry look so I would do what Carrie Rad did.

to make any lipstick matte you can get a glossy lipstick and put eyeshadow on it or what I like to do is to get a pink toned lipstick and add a contour shade on it to make a beautiful colour

This actually works pretty well, I tried it! Also getting it off is hard as heck, BUT rubbing a towel on your lips really hard makes them softer AND makes them plump! All goods!

I've been doing this since high school (and that was a LONG time ago), but I've always used a setting spray (before those existed, I used a very weak makeup glue). Mixing a bit of shadow with UD All Nighter is my favorite go-to for weird shades.

I have used this to adapt my usual eyeshadow-lipstick method. I usually put it straight onto my lips, but the vaseline keeps your lips moisturised. I work by putting a light-gold/white colour in the centre then around the outside add brown :3

Wow, this was awesome. Would really love it if you mentioned the products+shade, and make sure to show what colors you are using (for the audience). I have to say I loved both methods and have tried applying the eyeshadow with a thin brush (like lip liner), added the lipstick on top and smoothed it out. Works nicely! *The eyeshadow makes creamy lipsticks matte 😍

When I make them I heat up the Vaseline, add vitamin e oil and foundation, and use a generous amount of eye shadow. If I want to lighten a color then I use a white eye shadow primer in place of the foundation.

for Meg's DIY Try melting the vaseline into a liquid then adding and stirring your color into it. Then reheat if it started to dry and pour it into a cleaned out lipstick or chapstick container.
