I installed the AWE non-resonated touring exhaust on my 20202 Supra. The sound while driving is absolutely incredible but the cold start is going to get me kicked out of my condo...so let's see if we can build some silencers to fix the issue.

Just ordered the touring non-resonated for my 23 manual (stock downpipe). Curious specifically what downpipe you are running with your AWE setup? A bit worried about cold start too. Thanks for sharing the creative noise suppression idea! Were you aware If you contact AWE customer support, apparently they will sell the resonated midpipe setup separately (not offered on website)? Thought it might be worth mentioning.

Congrats, regardless of cold start you are going to love the sound! I've got the CG Precision downpipe that I bought from Speed Industry. I was not aware that AWE will sell the resonated pipes...I'm gonna email them tonight because that would be so much easier than going to a shop. Thanks Sam!

Doesn't that build up a bunch of back pressure on the exhaust? I'd think that would blow out an exhaust gasket, cause an exhaust leak, or just cause the engine to quit?

There is still enough flow for the exhaust to make it out while not causing issue. I've been using these at least 3 times a week for months now and there has been no issue. I'd assume the back pressure is about the same as the stock exhaust with the right valve closed since on startup it sounds almost exactly like stock. If the car blows up I'll make sure to do an update video haha.
