Great video, thank you for making it. This is a lovely fun project to make. I'm leaving a note on materials and cutting list for future reference as I will make more of these as gifts for friends. Materials/Cutting list. Fabric 2x 60 x 45cm rectangles 1 for outer bag and 1 for lining. 1 x 24 x 15cm for outer pocket (this can just as easily be sewn onto the lining piece for an internal pocket) 2 x 30 x 45cm for upper bag Handles 2 x 38cm ( I made mine out of fabric and went for a 3cm wide handle. it's comfy when carried) Drawstring cords 2 x 110cm worked for me. They can be shorter but this length gives you a top that will open as wide as possible. 4 x beads with a hole just large enough to thread your cord through to finish ends. I didn't use these on my first bag, I just knotted the ends. Consider adding lightweight fusible interfacing or fusible wadding to this project if using a light weight fabric. The bag needs a good weight of fabric to stand on it's own. 1/4" seam allowance used throughout except when sewing the drawstring casing channel at 2cm as shown in the video.
OMG. Ive never sewn anything before but my sister inlaw gave me a second hand machine and tried my luck. I didn't know that its so simple. I just followed everything and now I have a cute lunch bag. Thank you very much.I may get addicted to sewing now. For first timer like me try this sooooo simple.
Thank you very much. Your comment made me feel happy. Sewing is one of creations that anyone can do. I hope you will enjoy all of the VDO on my channel.
Original measurements: facing fabric 60 x 45 cm lining fabric 60 x 45cm name tag fabric 24 x15cm handle 38cm L x 2 top cover fabric 45x30cm x2 find the above measure bit too large for lunch box, so I downsize them as: facing fabric 50 cm x 35cm lining fabric 50 cm x 35cm top cover fabric 35 cm x 20 cm x 2
HI Pooim. I've finished making the bag today. Thank you very much for your very clear and pleasant video. I must have watched and rewound/ fast forwarded it many times to do different stages. The bag turned out beautiful! You have a very good understanding of viewer's way of sewing. Keep on making such useful instructional videos, Pooim ❤️❤️❤️! Much love from Singapore!
Magnifique!
