You should put hardware on your legs so they can just screw on.. It might save you time with the drill and screws 🙂 we are working on tables with folding legs for our set up

@@MicheleSteeleTV we are in a time crunch for a huge event. We need 9 tables so my husband is building them so quickly.. Will take about 2 days but he designed them to allow the legs to slide into place and lock with a slide in bolt.. Quicker to build them that way for now and change the legs later to folding. Also thanks for starting the Facebook group!! It's such positive vibes

I want my own picnic table!! Because it's too expensive to hire the set up lol Per your description, I think the 3x4 (48"x36") is actually ideal for 4 people. Each place setting would be 2 ft wide. The three feet across (36 inches) will give you 6 or 10 inches for a runner, candles, and vases in the middle. That's based on round placemats being 15 inches and chargers 13inches. For two people, I think 18"x48" is ideal (4ft x 1.5ft). I want to build a table, well 4 because we're a family of 6. I would use a 4x8 plywood. Cut it down into four 4ft x18" sections. Then cut the remaining to about 2" (i don't know blade thicknesses) strips for table Aprons. I'd need to buy the legs separately. The side aprons could be used as stoppers for folding legs. I would paint them white or stain them a dark brown color. I had started doing the math. I think without the stain and sealer, it was like $76 plus tax per table. If I ever do, I'll make sure to post a video.

So I don’t build new tables for each picnic but I do we use my tables and I just unscrew the legs off and screw them back on when I get to the location to be able to pack it in the car
