In France when we beat egg whites, we are willing to make them VERY stiff, and when they are beaten you should be able to flip the bowl above your head and nothing should be falling Little tip 😉
my favorite thing about this video is how in the beginning of the video, Corinne goes on a tangent about how macarons are pronounced, and by the end of the video she's pronouncing them like "those coconut pieces of shit"
Emily Moisant when I was 11 I made it and by the second try I did it perfectly but I am a good cook so as long as you check everything so you know you’re right and follow the instructions word to work also look at my comment under this I will link what I used to make them (:
I attempted to make macarons for a French final and it ruined my life. They turned out like absolute blue crap. At least they didn't kill anyone. Except me while I was making them.
shawna0383 to me macarons are ok I made them for my class before my class has 41 people I think almonds tuiles are the hardest I have seen people try to make them before
I feel you. I tried making these for Christmas. I was almost suicidal. I was reading a troubleshooting page about it but I never got the damn thing right.
Once you've mastered french macarons, try Italian macarons. They make a much more stable cookie, more chewy, better feet, and a higher chance of success. Also, they sell almond flour at costco, quite a good find for someone who keeps buying those $10 bags at target/Walmart.
Also, I don't really bother to let my egg whites sit out to "age". I just put eggs inside a bowl of warm water for at least 5 minutes to reach room temperature.
Yeah I do the same. I am also curious about the Italian macarons as well. I didn't know they had a version of those cookies as well. Could you tell me how to make them?
@@scrawnymaniac7126 It doesn't matter if it's aesthetically pleasing. The word scoliosis isn't aesthetically pleasing, but no one tries to make it that way 🤷♀️
my recipe: (the shells of the macarons) ingredients: 30 g aged egg white, 30 g powdered sugar, 30 g granulated sugar, 30 g almond flour Beat the eggs with half of the granulated sugar with a hand mixer. Add in the rest of the granulated sugar and beat until soft peaks. Add the powdered sugar and almond flour (and dye, if you want) and gently fold. (Try your very best to make as little stirs as possible, because you want them to be fluffy) Transfer to a piping bag. Pipe about 1 1/2 inch circles onto parchment paper lined baking sheet. (at this time, i would heat the oven up because if you do it from the beginning it kind of wastes gas, and while the oven heats up the macarons are hardening) Heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. You should be able to 'pet' them without getting batter on your finger. Bake for 15-17 minutes. I have literally used this recipe for 2 years and it works just fine.
I am rewatching old Threadbanger videos and I remember this one. When she started laughing/breaking down at the thought of all the waiting and leftover things she still has to do, I was with her. I felt it. LOL. Love you guys!
Beginning of video Corinne: DON'T CALL THEM MACAROONS Rest of video Corinne: macaroon making is hard, don't make macaroons, MACAROONS MACAROONS MACAROONS
Simply Evzz Wow that is some serious pretentiousness you have there. Might want to get a doctor to check that out. I hear asinine grammar policing can be deadly to one’s personality and intelligence! Or: Linguist here is tired of this bullshit. There are so many things wrong with you calling someone out on something like that, I don’t even know where to begin...
macaron just delicious AF! but it must have a sweet balance most of the macaron taste like 2 kg of sugar but if you eat the real macaron it just party in your mouth original macaron not sweet

Yeah I know that. But she only did the egg whites. There's no caster sugar in it to make it as a meringue. Well yeah there's powdered sugar but it's still different. When I made it the first time, it went well with a slight issue because I made it too big. Let's just say the whipped egg whites doesn't have the firm texture unlike the meringue. Try making 2 batches with using whipped egg whites and meringue
As an experienced macaron maker the batch she chose was awful but I support her for determination it took me 3 mounts till I found a good recipe its from rosana pinnisino
Ana DIY it looked pretty good to me. A tad overcooked, and she should’ve tapped them on her counter to get rid of the air bubbles, but the recipe wasn’t bad.
Gisselle Dallas macarons are my favorite thing to make and this made me sad, especially with the liquid egg whites. But hey, she's learning and awesome.
911: 911 what is your emergency Me: hello I'm calling to tell you that there is bunny shooting macarons in my backyard. 911: Sir is this a joke Me: no sir that is not a joke 911: 🙄😤ok the police are on there way
The use of there is correct. Their means that you talking about somene. Ex: I love their hair! There means a place, and they're is a conjunction of they and are.
Katie Millie Smith tbh making them on your own is more worth it. All you need is macaron mix. It cost about 5 dollars and you can make like 20 of then for way cheaper that normal macarons
Lol so like I want to be a baker when I'm older but my parents don't really like help me because they don't like baking and my dad just criticizes me and over the course of 3 months I have tried macaroons seven times with out my parents help because there lazy and I FUCKIN FINALLY DID LAST WEEK I WAS SO HAPPY I WANTED TO CRY AND guess what MY PARENTS ATE THEM ALL IN LIKE FIVE SECONDS I HAD LIKE 20 TOO I WANTED TO PUNCH A WALL
sofiverse 3 months? Damm. I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound, but I'm 12 and I made these perfectly on my first try. Watch a video, it's much more helpful than a blog.
Watching Corinne in a bunny suit while dancing with a shotgun and reading the chocolate chip cookie recipe in the description makes me fEEL LIKE A TRUE AMERICAN
The second one probably would have turned out if you gradually mixed granulated sugar in with the eggs (after they get frothy), then to stiff peaks to make the meringue. ^_^ I want to see you and Rob do a macaron remake battle.
