This is my first time being formally introduce to macrame. I'm an avid crocheter, which is probably how this popped up in my suggested videos! I'm so glad it did! I was taught macrame by mom in the late 70s, wow did I just write that. And I am still young!. I love your tutorials they are easy to follow. Getting back to creating. Everytime I see a macrame for sale, I am blown away at the sale price. Knowing I may create it and tailor it to my specific size and colors. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am going to use your method for the hanging chair for a hanging cat swing/chair for my Vinny in the back yard patio and one for the window. Happy Macrame! Be Well.

Никогда не поела макрамэ. Но посмотрев Ваш МК, уже заказала шнур🤭начну с небольшого, пояс, колье, а потом, если получится, то и такое шикарное кресло. Спасибо Вам ОГРОМНОЕ!! Wow absolutely gorgeous! I read through the comments macrame is not hard! It does take patience, and nice clear space as the cords can get long. I taught macrame in the 70's at the Ymca. Then I taught it again 3 years ago at the Ywca. My yoga students made a macrame yoga strap to carry their yoga mats. I would love to make one of these hanging chairs I don't have a secure place to hand it from 😢 Thanks for making this long tutorial!

I just bought a Florida and I have been wanting one for my sun room! You have made it possible for me to make it! I know how to macrame and crochet so I know these stitches and knots! I found 6 hanging swings that I took the hoops out of just in case I found a pattern I likes. I’m so excited now to find the rope!

@@Messy_but_magical I keep wondering how strong the hoop would need to be since the pressure is on the cord. But I think a hoola hoop would collapse. I think it needs to be stronger than that.
Where do I order metal profile rings? I order such rings from local metalsmiths - blacksmiths. Perhaps in the location where you are, there are also such masters from whom you can order rings😊
Yes, it is crochet. If you want to look up other videos on how to do it with yarn (to practice) she starts with what's called a magic ring and she does single crochet stitches on the first round and double crochet stitches on the next rounds. I hope this helps some of you to give it a try and not shy away from it. This looks like an awesome project that, if I can afford it, I will be attempting...someday! 😊❤😊
