The first time I heard about macrame was yesterday and it was in a video of Mark Chrispy. In that video, the maker used* a dog brush. And Stiffen quick spray on the leaf.
May I ask? Did you use yarn or macrame cord? I've used both and though yarn is cheaper and in the end can look exactly the same, although macrame cord is much easier and quicker. Unless you can find a bulkier yarn. I've seen hanging leaves like this made from macrame and the look was super unique. It wasn’t sprayed to hold its shape. In fact, the 3 leaves had a sort of willow tree, rag doll look. Look up macrame hanging leaves and google will bring you to the interest image
Yeah I know. But I think it will depend on the thickness of macrame cord as well. If the cord is single twisted and has higher thickness less fibre will come out 😊
Oh wait! I just rewatched. I thought that was a leaf template to cut the shape. What a good idea to keep it from getting floppy( for lack of a better term lol). What material did you glue to the leaf?
