I've used this many times as a template for plant hangers, sometimes making it shorter or different colour, and it turns out beautiful each time! Thank you for the video!
That’s fantastic! I’m so glad you found the tutorial helpful. How did your first hanger turn out? I'd love to see a picture if you want to share! Tag us on Instagram @Carved_Culture_
@@CarvedCulture you're welcome. Thanks for posting it. It's something I've been meaning to try for a while. And the sped up video meant I felt I had the time. Once I started it, I couldn't stop. Only took a couple of hours. Now everyone is getting one for Christmas ☺️.
I ended up with half the cords really long and the other half short. I just made do, it turned out ok. It’s 91cm or 36 inches from top to the bottom of the tassel.
Do I need to switch the outer cords for the inner cords at some point? I finished the second set of half square knots and I have two super short (2 inch) cords and two super long cords so I'm unable to continue from there 🤔
Yes after a section of knots before another gap you move the outer cords to the middle then put the inner cords to the out. Make sure you do this every time 😁
My adhd can not comprehend 2:02 and past that lol, I rewind like 20x not understanding it. I can do a square knot but using two more middle strings is confusing to me and I really like the idea but I just can’t do it lol
When I try switch the inner cords with the outer it twists.. when I watch your video you not doing it? How do I switch them without twisting if that makes sense 😊
Honestly it doesn't make a huge difference. I've made this maybe 3 times and used different thickness each time but it still turned out super cute! I wish I could add a picture D:
wish you would of included how long the hanger is over all... and convert meters to feet... very nice hanger in the end also wish you would of shown it to us with the plant in it... but overall good video
Thank you for your constructive criticism, going forward we will take your advice into consideration. If you haven't already converted meters to feet you can do it here: www.unitconverters.net/length/meters-to-feet.htm
Great macrame piece but am afraid I will have to watch your video over and over again as it goes very wuicly and so do your directions. I will def try it though. Just bear in mind you're teaching us.
You can change the playback speed on the three dots in the top right corner to slow it down if it helps, that’s what I did and it was easier to see what she was doing.
@@trinity5165 Thank you so much for this!! Literally was driving me mad rewatching the same bits over and over to try and see what was happening! Thanks 🤗
You go WAY to fast & aren’t melding instructions with hands. Impossible to follow. Also all one color intensives difficulty, try using 2 colors to make things easier to follow. Going elsewhere.
Thank you for your feedback! I understand the tutorial might feel a bit fast-paced. I recommend using RU-vid's playback speed feature to slow it down. Thanks for watching! :)
Awful explanation, sorry, but this is just frustrating but I have started now and have to muddle through using what I have already cut. Not for beginners.
@@CarvedCulture thank you for asking, I did manage to get a decent plant hanger in the end, just slowed the video down and stopped at certain parts to see how you did it...
She didn’t mention that part, Sonya. Don’t feel bad, the student isn’t lacking, the teacher is the issue. I’m sure she’s a very nice person but she could do better with explaining and showing in a slower manner.
I’m in the same boat after tying the 8 strands off at the top and then she says ‘now you have 16 strands’ - would of been nice to know we have to pull them through halfway before moving to trying them together at the top!
