DIY Makeup Wipes 

Thank you for this. It reminds me of long ago, when I lived in Indianapolis. There I knew some sewing ladies who did an amazing thing. They did social networking (long before we had that word for it) to collect old linens, such as bedsheets and bath towels. They then gathered for tea, coffee, etc., when they would cut the collected fabrics by patterns, and sew the pieces into bandages (with a cotton stuffing somewhat like quilt batting) for cancer patients. They sewed the bandages, ranging from 5 in x 5 in to 20 in x 20 in sizes, all by hand, mostly with stylized whip stitches. Each of the sewers had a unique stylized whip stitch. They gave the bandages to a cancer support charity, which sterilized them for patients. But that was not the end of the story/process because when these patients saw the bandages, they immediately saw the bandages were each one hand made with care, hope, and heartfelt warm wishes. Those sewers are all long passed-on now, and although the charity still exists, it no longer needs/uses such bandages. Thus, thank you for reminding me of these loving women, who spent time each week sharing their hopes and warm wishes for strangers in need.

I definitely want to make these! Years ago I made some small squares out of flannel to replace cotton pads to be more environmentally friendly. They did end up getting a bit soiled but I kept washing them and reusing. These look like fun for face wipes! I think I'll get one of those Creative Grids rulers too. That looked pretty handy! Thanks!

The thrifty in me wants to make one of these from an older face cloth because they tend to get worn out in the middle, but the rest is fine! Great idea!
