This is how I made my own melted disco balls! The Kelly Wearstler ones were too expensive, so I made my own. But I didn’t think my approach was perfect enough, so here I am trying again a year later with a different method.
I’ve definitely learned a few tricks, and I think some alternative ideas such as mosaic tiles or different coloured glass tiles could look incredible as something different.

Thats so nice to see to you, finding the best solution. Its a great fun. I feel with you, because beeing creative, you have to be keeping inventing and trying what nowboby has told you before. The bigger is the satisfaction, if it works. If not, then it seems: keep on going and finding your way! 😊

I think if you use a wet foam brush before the render dries you will be able to get it mostly smooth, and then just lightly sand with sand paper would still get the job done!!
