Hi Alex, a new video showing the accuracy/tolerances achievable with the machine is highly appreciated. Since the machine is now two years (or more) old and you used a UHPC, some information on shrinking/cracking/etc which is usually present in concrete based VMC's is very valuable to the community.

Thanks for your nice comment Marco. The workshop is quite stable in temperature (around max 5 K change over the year) so it should be fine. But on the other side hm wouldn't hurt 😅

I HAD A FEELING YOU WEREN'T GONNA GIVE US THE GRAND TOTAL! SUPPOSE ITS NONE OF MY BUSINESS BUT IM SUPER CURIOUS! MORE THAN $75K? YOUR ABILITIES AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ACCURACY SURPASSED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS HUMANLY POSSIBLE! TO CALL YOU A CYBORG WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT... THAT SATISFYING FEELING YOU GET WHEN YOU WATCH IT AND FEEL THE PART AFTERWARD MUST BE EXPONENTIALLY MULTIPLIED, KNOWING YOU BUILT THAT THING 100% BY, DARE I SAY, "HAND"? I THINK THIS IS FAIR SINCE YOU MACHINED THE PARTS WITH YOUR "HAND EXTENSIONS" SO CHEERS! AN AMAZING FEAT AND A JOY TO WATCH!

Some things are beyond reason or practicality !! They are born from emotion and a thirst for knowledge.. Anyone with enough money can pay £30.000 for a machine , but then it’s “just a machine “….. “Bernard”. Is a thing of beauty..💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Good sir - Your channel might not be very big for whatever reason, but I can truly appreciate the sheer level of talent and skill involved in what you've accomplished here and otherwise. Most people sadly aren't enlightened enough to comprehend just how freaking impressive this actually is in practice. Major props, subscribtion well earned.

Awesome work! It's great seeing those chips flying! I'm kinda having a hard time believing that buying a machine equal to this would be cheaper. No doubt your build wasn't cheap, but you took everything to the next level! The accuracy and chip loading capabilities are impressive, especially for such a compact machine, not to mention the cooling and lubricant system.
@AlexCNCen
@AlexCNCen 2 года назад
I didn't really mentioned, that I also added the time I needed into the calculation. If you only want the machine to build parts (and earn money with those) than you have to take the time into account. And then a finished bought one might be cheaper.
@Rickertt

@@AlexCNCen However building a machine like this yourself also teaches you a lot of things. I already learned a ton building my cnc mill and it is not even finished yet. If you count that as work experience, then building a small cnc mill is invaluable.
