Hello D.I.Y. Swamp cooler makers here is a update on the experiment to use a low cost car heater core as a dry air chiller in a two stage evaporative cooler, mostly solar powered and all 12 volts DC.
200 meg video, starts with a look at my 2nd project the mini swamp cooler I am using now days to chile the outside of the small window type HVAC on the back porch then I move on to the monster swamp cooler experiment in a hugh black and yellow tote that pumps the chilled water to the remote 2nd stage unit that is a $40 TE'mu device 'car heater module' that i am trying to reuse as a chiller for inside with dry air , not working to well at this point with the long un insulated garden 5/8inch hoses but could work better in the next attempt.
Also the larger black tote evap unit was taking the 90F air from the back yard and kicking out ~76F on the output side with the wet air, it works very well with all that aspen pine media but has been hard to reroute to really cool anything with so far... it's chilling the water for the 2nd stage unit in this video.
