1º-Power the DC Step-Down module ​using a transformer from 4 to 30 volt, conect the amp meter to the source "in"
2º-The yellow wire is pluged to the "out" positive side of the buck converter
3º-The remaining bigger black wire is conected to the "out" negative side, the the red is the output negative

- Input: DC 3 - 40V (input voltage must be higher than the output voltage to 1.5v above can not boost)
- Output: DC 1.5 - 35V (continuously adjustable)
- Current: 3A (Max.)
- Built-in SANYO fixed capacitor

I did it just like your video, but in other kind of case. I can test some electronics, But i wonder; Can I use it in mobile phones?, I mean, can I test display cell phones directly without batteries?... because when I try to start them... they don´t start anything. I set the output in 3.7A... but the Amperes rise to 5 , 6 or even more. What is wrong?

Hola, el vídeo está muy bien hecho, pero si lo pudieras hacer a velocidad normal estaría mucho mejor, ya que los que somos novatos en esto, no nos da tiempo a ver como haces las conexiones, o por lo menos ir explicando cómo haces ésta fuente de alimentación. Brother, whether you watch this video in speed or slow motion, there is no point in watching this video because when you buy this DC to DC step down circuit and digital voltage display meter from the market, along with its complete connection details in the form of manual will be found. But you can make this circuit at home at a much lower cost than the market.

House power is ac, not dc and its 230v while the buck converter can support up to 35v. Do not even try plugging it into your outlet, Don't be dumb

check all the wiring, maybe there is a problem with your potenciometer, try to install thee original pot and see if it works like that, if not you may have a falty module

Bung a bank of 18650's in there. TP4056 to charge them. And maybe a switch to show battery level on the display.... Then it would be perfect!

In principle you can if you add sufficient cooling. This module uses LM2596S chip for up to 40V input, the LM2596HVS chip can handle up to 60V input. For higher power you'd better use a heavier DC-DC step-down (buck) converter.

If you use the buck converter below you can go up to 8 Amps and don't need to change the potentiometer because it already has one. You also do not need an on/off switch because the potentiometer has one built-in: www.ebay.com/itm/142660989033

Watch out !!! The volt/amp meter needs power of 6-30V, above 30V it will burn. So, in this set-up you cannot exceed input voltage of 30V.
