Mini XLR is actually so underrated, a slim barrel option to Femo and still looks sleeker than a GX16. Having said that a GX12 is also not too bad as an alternative!

People will complain about you clipping the ground, but then also complain when they have ground loops.

how to solder Mini XLR 5 pin to RCA cable for balanced connection between a turntable and phono preamp. I can't find a diagram anywhere and I don't want to buy that overpriced Pro-Ject connect it S mini xlr -rca. please, help anyone! it can't be that much of a secret

I bought one of those custom cable kits with a gx16 connector and after I finished building it, it didn't work, I didn't find any crossed wires, and soldered the wires in this order: black, white, green, red, are there any other things that I should check?

If I were to solder the red to the white port and white to red port would that fried the pcb?

I made my cruzctrl kit ($20 one) and it’s turning the rgb on my keyboard (gk61 Pcb) but not actually working… any help?

Usually, that's caused by an issue with the soldering. You can join the discord in the video description and share some pics of your soldering for help. :)

@@CruzCtrl I viewed a few videos on RU-vid, from different channels, including one from LTT recently, and I forget which shop it was, but it was probably yours, I saw a USB 2.0 certified cabling for sale... I have a question on cabling though, which is this, would there be any difference in transfer speed, on a 2.0 certified cabling in a C to C cable given that it says it's only certified for 2.0, and apparently not 3.0, which in theory would lessen the data transfer rate... Any thoughts on this, or things I need to know about cabling??? Is there even such a thing as cabling that's 3.0 certified, and would it be any noticable difference in transfer speed in high speed USB C SSDs between a 2.0 cabling and a 3.0 cabling???

Can u test with a mtimeter that all signals go all the way through from one end of the usb to the other when both ends are connected?

it does grind my gears a bit to select fancy pants connectors and then discard the shield, especially since those connectors are literally made to have good shielding.. you just need to bend the shielding back.. then when you crimp the metal, it makes a nice shield connection. This has nothing to do with being "audiophile".. the USB people designed with the goal of low cost, they didn't put shielding in there for fun. Sure, it will work without, but how does it not annoy you to know that you could have made it the right way with less effort than it was to do it the wrong way?
