Mate. I appreciate that you can make beautiful projects without a million dollar workshop. it seems these days everyone on RU-vid has a professional level shop teaching people who have basic tools how to woodwork
I like the principle of the backboard solution, not even attached to the bed at all, fantastic! I watched tons of DIY vids lately, had been to the furniture store for weeks, to get inspired for my very first bed project... and I might stick to the wall concept of this video. Thank you very much for sharing. Greetings from germany :)
My suggestion is forget the legs and build under bed storage. I live in an old house with limited storage so maximizing storage is key to every thing I build.
I love this project, but I think that I would probably make the head wide enough to integrate the nightstands right into it; maybe with a’T’ type of connection that slide between the horizontal slats of the headboard. I particularly like the finish as well as the use of sustainable teakwood; beautiful.
Wow really interested in the teak timber! The fact that grows so fast and price is close to pine is mind boggling... It is similar in hardness and load capacity to traditional mature teak?
Loooveee it !!! Brother, my patio is small, so I have an idea, but not much money lol I have 3 dogs a female boxer and 2 Xoloitzcuintlis (Mexican hairless dog), so I wanna make or build a dog house for them but at the same time it can be use as a sitting bench/area, maybe 24 inch tall x 6 ft long x 3 ft deep. Thank you.
Love the basic design however ... even the sanded round over corners of the frame are shin-kickers ... I'd cut a full semi-circle there. Also, the headboard might be less of a head-catcher if it were extended in width beyond that of the bed. Maybe as a backing for the side tables. Groovy overall. Cheers
Is that Mexican teak? I'm working a lot with Mexican teak (I am in Mexico) and it looks very similar. Not quite at the prices of pine (at least here), but not too expensive either. It's a very popular wood amongst my clients
Why aren't you running video pre-roll ads on your videos? Would be better than the banners as they pay more and viewers don't have to close the banners to see the content...just an idea to make some more moola...
Not trying to be a Karen here, but in addition to building a roof-top deck that is about the most unsafe thing I have ever seen, you also don't wear a mask when sanding. Simple steps will help avoid serious injury and health issues.
