I swear a lot when doing DIY projects. I bet this project would inspire swear combinations I haven’t even thought up yet. It’s absolutely beautiful and worth every second you worked on it
Very nice. I live near a little historic town called Niles jn California. Quite a few years back, making mosaic tables were all the rage in the shops. One lady made them and actually would smash a plate and flatten a fork, knife and spoon and inset them like a place setting into the table top.... then fill in the surrounding areas with tile to mimic a table cloth. It was truly amazing... works of art.
You’re so creative! I would never have the patience to do this. I love vintage too and really enjoy your videos. I wish you had a shop. I would gladly buy things from you.
Really cute. I create handmade mosaic tiles from raw clay. I make pretty much anything you can think of, horses, cats, dogs, hummingbirds, bees, cacti etc. all for mosaics projects. Mosaic art is a lot of fun, I love where your creativity will take you.
That turned out so pretty! (I couldn't have broken up that little green flower plate though) My parents had a table like the one that you have to hold a portable tv on many years ago. It was wood, swiveled around so you could turn the TV. Whoops! Saw that somebody else knew what the table did also. But that was it. You turned it into something special.
I wanted to SO bad! I just didn't want to deal with the glass shards afterwards, my little nieces/nephews are always at my house so I couldn't risk leaving any behind 😭
This is very pretty. I'm hoping you have learned that you don't wait until the grout is dry to wipe it. Your tiles would have cleaned up so much easier and faster. Thanks for the video!
I love your adorable Mosaic tile table! It turned out so pretty and it looks perfect in front of your Enchanted Cottage! You have inspired me to try my hand doing a Mosaic tile project :)
I don't know if it has been mentioned already but you can also buy already chipped and cracked plates at Goodwill that aren't selling so they don't go to waste. When ceramics and glassware doesn't sell, they often break them up and throw them away. 😔
Hi Emelyne! Please be careful eating off of vintage plates and cookware. A lot of it has high lead levels which can be transferred to food. I’m a vintage re-seller so I recommend displaying your collection instead of using it for meals or cooking ❤️
