I’ve been wanting to create a way to take my dual sport with me when I take the Overland rig on trips. I didn’t wanna hassle with ramps because of the height, and I also wanted to keep my approach angle reasonable. So I came up with this lift that holds the motorcycle by the frame, so your suspension is never compressed, and lifts it over, 30 inches up From the base. It gives me more clearance that I currently have with a skid plate, and still keeps it below windshield height.

Could I get the length of the 2 square tubing pieces and the length of the four arm pieces? Thanks. Looks great. I'm going to build one.

I don't know if you can supply Air from the front gladhands I might be wrong but to my knowledge air is supplied from the rear and received in the front. Hook an air hose up to the rear trailer glad-hand.

Did you get this finished? A very interesting idea and I’m wondering how it worked out

Mostly finished. The bolts I made to hold the pegs down were a little short. I ended up taking a trailer on my last trip so I could haul a jet ski as well. The lift tests fine, but haven’t driven it really off-road yet…

Did you get it finished? I’m looking to do something similar on this overland build I am starting and would love to see how it came together

Yeah, sort of. I ended up with a bottle jack as the scissor wouldn't lift the bike. Then my hold down bolts for the pegs were too short... I had my last summer trip coming up, so I just ended up taking a trailer for that trip. I'd change a few things if I were to do it again as the bottle jack was larger than the scissor jack by far...

Do you have a dimensional drawing on that I’ve been wanting to build one

Unfortunately I don’t. It’s a little cobbled together actually and I’d change a few things next iteration. Build one out of cardboard or cheap material first!

what thickness did you end up with for the 4 arms?

I ended up using 3/8, which was fine. I'd go bigger if I did it again though. Once it is up, it almost doesn't matter though...
