I wanted to build a Murphy Bed (a hidden bed) for my bedroom, so here’s a video on how to make a bed!
In this video i will show you how I made an Inexpensive Murphy Bed using a hinge and some basic tools.
Cost of Material used in building this is under $80
I am using only two power tools, Circular Saw and a Drill Machine to make this.

I knew it could be done without the official hardware. Many thanks for sharing your creation with us. Plus I loved the tools that you used. Excellent work which in theory means it should be a walk in the park with the tools I've got. I'll just use my "Impact Driver" Drill 🙊😁 I'm going to use the base of my sons cabin bed & make this for him. When you've only got a small bedroom which just happens to be over the stairs, your really limited to space. This will create a lot more floor space in his bedroom so I can put a small sofa in there for him to chill out on instead of having to constantly sit on his bed. My son is only 8yrs old & I feel bad as his 11yr old brother has a far bigger bedroom than him. So I'm looking forward to making this. Again many thanks to you & your fabulous video. I've also shared this with my friends on Facebook. Keep up the excellent work.x

The ‘official hardware’ just makes it easier to lift the bed. Depending on the design it will have additional features like hidden legs or a stay level table etc. If those things are not that important, all you need is a pivot for the bed. Plenty of variations on how to pivot the bed.

I have to agree with many of the posts here. I was quite impressed with your ingenuity about this project. I've viewed many videos on construction of this wall bed, and yours to me is the best by far ! It was very discouraging, seeing all these videos, with folks and their fancy tools and space in the construct. I don't have the money or space, I'd love to,, but I don't. I have a very small studio apartment, 321sq ft ! The biggest issue is my queen size bed in this place, if I could get this bed done, that would free up soo much needed space !! Thanx young man, for giving me hope about making this happen. I've watched your video, at least 8 times !

Murphy beds are perfect if you have room for an extra bed and this is an easiest way to build one! I made a queen size murphy bed similar to this and used it for years but I took it down last year. Mine raised and lowered from the bottom, not the side. I used a couple of big strap hinges instead of piano hinges and they worked just fine. The legs folded up when the bed was raised. I'm now making a twin loft bed mounted to the wall 5 ft off the floor so my furniture and desk can sit under the bed.

Do these measurements have factored in that mistake he made with the top portion where he had to remove and modify that piece? Very great n unique design … didn’t skipp any steps like other tutorials did … also love how there’s no need for any Extras like $200 worth for the bed to fold out and in (Dude literally used a long hinge which probably don’t need as long of a hinge at that !!! ) this man is a genius on another level 🙏👏🙌

Wow. Thank God I found your video. Before watching your video I already have an idea of making bed and I've been searching for materials that I need and I saw a 6ft hinges in an online shopping and I am thinking of using that to make a Murphy bed instead of expensive hardware but I don't know if it's going to work and I don't know how to do it and then you've answer my question. Thank you so much 🥰
