It may be helpful to mention, that you can change it without taking the fairing off if the filter has a spot to turn it with a 17mm wrench like the one you used at the end. It's kind of a pain getting a wrench behind the fairing and getting the filter out but my old bike has got a bunch of stripped out fairing bolts, so it was easier for me than wrestling with those and trying to take the fairing off. And the the bottom of the fairing is cut out above the drain plug so you can just drain it.
Thanks for the video. I am getting ready to change over to Motul today, except I bought the Motul 7100 10w40. I read up on the reviews that Motul oil quiets your motor down and it appeared that it did with your bike. When you started it after the oil change it was much quieter. I also bought the oil filter (channel lock) pliers that have very aggressive teeth. Never owned a pair before but seem like they should do the trick on a tight oil filter and they didn't cost much at Harbor Freight.
Is your right hand side rearset cracked where the brake lever pivots? 1:32 I hope not but best check it if you still have the bike man. Thanks for the effort with the video btw ! these are great bikes, I have a black 06.
300v is for 3.000-4.0000 km mileage. Seems that you changed them at least 3 times in that 1 year.. Otherwise you didnt have oil in engine, just liquid.
@robdude1969 I always challenge myself not to get any oil on my fingies 😆😂 you push up and then yank away quick. Great video tho. Just got my 6r yesterday.
