@@jimmykez3066 im not a chemist but i dont think the chances of that happening is high, bec no 1 pp has a very high melting point. But yes as ive said in the video if you're not comfortable doing it, dont :) but hey thanks for watching! :)
@@darylbuenocoffee I'm also not a chemist, but I've encountered anecdotes that scratched or heated plastic containers and such have a chance of leaching chemicals or harboring bacteria. That said, PP is generally non-toxic since it's BPA free. However, if microplastics are leaching, it could potentially be a concern in the future once we have more clarity on their effects. As for bacteria, the risk is probably not as high since the temp of the water passing through should be high enough to sanitize the brewer. Cheers and I hope you get more viewers!
