Oh my, I just loved how these all came out! I really loved the planters and I could use them for my succulents 😊I want to attempt to make a few. Thank you David, so much for sharing and for the ideas ❤❤
I’m glad you are going to try it out!! That’s always my goal is to share fun diys that you actually wanna create!! Yay 😀 thanks for your support as always
Hi David 🌞 You had me at Vodka and it I bet it tasted great! I love the cement pieces you made, they have that rustic vibe and I could see them being used for all types of things ~ I had so much fun collabing with you! XXOO
Hey Lori!! 👋 haha vodka 🤣 lol oh goodness we need a drink every now and then and the summer is perfect for relaxing with friends and having a cocktail. It was such fun. I was very happy to be apart of this collab thank you!!
I loved the planters and bowls but oh my God the detail on the pie crust one..i honestly can see that selling so expensive. I loved the hand finish kinda look as opposed to the smooth bowls ❤
Thank you 🙏 I totally agree that looks like a vintage stone tray or something I could probably paint them but I love the natural look so much! Thank you for asking me to join this collab!!!!
Just found your channel David, your projects turned out great - especially loved the pattern the tart tray made. If you paint your outdoor planters with yoghurt it will encourage lichen to grow on them 👍🏼 Sheena (uk) x
I actually have heard of that before and i am interested in trying that out - I think I would love that mossy look on them! I’m all about the aged look on stuff - so thank you for this I think I’m gonna try it in another video and give everyone an update on it 🤭
Thank you so much, I think I may just pop some in bc I have a lot growing in my home and would love to add a few outside for the summer so this could be a fun way to display them and then bring them in for the winter
Great to hear this! I hope you do try it out and make sure you do a little research as I know what I used was not concrete but rather it was fast dry mortar that you use for sticking tiles to the wall but it has a similar texture and look to concrete and I’ve kept those bowls outside rain and sun and they’ve held great no cracks or falling apart from the weather!
Hello David I was at the pharmacy when I realized I was missing your live but I made it home and watched replay what a great video great job and I just might made that drink for my friends 🙏💙🦋🙏💙🦋
Thank you so much! I wasn't sure what I wanted to make and had limited time to create too, it's been a real struggle over here lol 😂 thanks for tuning in!! The cocktail is good but I recommend using rum for sure as it tastes better with rum
Thanks love! I appreciate all your support!! It means the world that you take time out of your schedule to click on my videos and see what I’m up to! Thank you Kathy!!!
I would think it would be fairly easy to "fix up" your projects with Quickcrete, spackle, or caulk. Using a cork is a great idea! I confess, though, that I rarely grow things indoors unless it's things that grow in water, and outdoors I grow most things in LARGE containers, including mixtures of succulents and other things. So I lean towards painting and/or texturing lighter-weight containers.
I totally understand that!! These smaller bowls could be a fun way to display a few succulents on a table top outside for a gathering with friends and family OR even inside on your table as a centerpiece. You can also leave out the hole and make a cement bowl but fill it with citronella candle wax for outside! Just a few ideas if you think about trying it out. Very easy to make and I will say this took me an hour to do all those projects which was so fast compared to my usual painting and texturing diys. Thanks for watching and I hope you got to see the other creators and what they made!!
That glass looks to me like a very classic martini glass! I actually prefer drinks that really feature the alcohol (Scotch/water, tequila/soda etc.) and I don't think I've ever heard of a mojoto made with rum!
Mojito drinks are typically made from white rum, I use to make them a few summers ago it was my summer drink to chill and sip on outside lol 😆 I felt so fancy I could go pick some mint out of my yard haha anyway I think they are delicious the one I made with mixed alcohols was a little different to be honest, not the best but it's a drink for relaxing by the fire or with friends
Nice Intro! What an interesting way to consume alcohol! I love your Quick Mortar creations! When you were removing the props I was saying, “5 more minutes David.” 🤣 Those pieces can find a home inside the house or in your outdoor space! They will be very versatile! Great DIYs!
Thank you Christine!! 😊 I know I ended up breaking some of the plastic molds I was using but I made several prior to this video so I got some use out the purple bowls at least, I plan on making more of those vintage tray I'm loving how those look!!
