One of my favorite additions to my master bedroom makeover was this DIY chandelier. I adapted this from a DIY by FlaviePear who creates stunning pieces but is based out of Europe. Check out this video for the modifications to make this sturdy and beautiful paper chandelier.

@@ChertineP Usually marine stores like west marine will have a pile of old ones around.. I just found 12 for 3 dollars each and they are for my home waters... Maine to Cape Cod. :)

Love this! I did not quite get how you attached the leaves to the light, though. Would be nice to see a closer view of how it’s attached.

Just only by wiring with a stainless steel wire around the naked lamp socket.. 😎

Thanks! Yes the video definitely could use a close up view of that, the blog tutorial has a more detailed view and directions. I wouldn’t attempt the diy without skimming the tutorial first, this was essentially my tips and take on it. Thanks for watching!

This is so cool, but I am curious about how long it lasts? Did the paper went bad condition?

It actually held up well! Did a light vacuum from time to time to remove the dust. It even survived a few kid pillow fights somehow. 😝

Is it heavy? Won't the weight of the fans pull too much on the cable?

No not heavy at all, so no issue of weight on the socket pendant. If you like the fans to sit straight out rather than droop down I suggest thick wire to achieve that look.
