It’s glass. It will be an easy clean up with the right degreaser cleaning product. My concern is if you use it behind the stove without a motar or additional glue it will come up. Other than that it will be an easy install.

They shouldn't fall off the wall if you follow the instructions. The most important things are cleaning the area where the tiles are being installed and applying grout right after you finish placing them onto the wall.
Technically yes, however, keep in mind that the considerable amount of grout joint might be a hassle to clean. In case you want to do it, make sure to seal the grout.
Why use peel and stick if you are going to have to go through all the trouble of cutting, smoothing and grouting, only to have them fall off in a couple months. Putting them on the wall with adhesive is literally the easiest part of the whole project.
