That's so smooth, very cool video! I like how you explain the little tricks you used and also how you overcame some issues. That spill was funny and it happens so often, lots of DIY'ers are ashamed of it, but you took advantage of it so nicely! Cheers and keep up the good quality vids!
Absolutely brilliant as usual my brother. I do a lot of work with pallet wood. I also bought a light fitting about 2 years ago, but never got around to making into anything. I now know what I’ll make , thanks to you. Keep up the good work, you’re doing great for our community. 👍🏾👍🏾
I love ths design. I think I'm going to slightly modify the design by adding a paper shroud, and mounting it on a complementary looking floor stand so it can be a in a corner of my room. :) Great work as always.
That's a creative way to use the electrical box to solve 2 problems. Mount the wiring and light kit, and use the built in hardware to mount to the frame. Nice work.
@@DIYCreators I hope so. Trying to build I life that I don't have to go on vacation to get away from for a couple weeks. One foot in front of the other.
SUPER AWESOME.! You put time into your work, but make it so easy to follow. Thank you for showing each step. Including your mistakes. I'm pretty clumsy myself. I trip on air often. 👍👍
@@BPWhitman because 1) Biden actually said that, 2) It's an obviously false statement, and 3) You won't hear it said ANYWHERE else, especially not by the "news media". Easiest question I've fielded all year.....but it's only March.
@@gregpearce I know that President Biden said it. This is a video about Glenn making a lamp. Of his 2.7million subscribers, most of us are here because we like his content.
Again... Glad you're back!! GREAT project, well done. I love my Makita Compact Router & Rockler Glue Pad... Makes life easier. Looking forward to more projects / tutorials from you!!
You sure have a lot of patience cutting through angle iron with an handsaw. Just an observation though adding an acrylic to cover the outer part wouldn’t have been a bad idea it would have made the bulb shine more. Love from Nigeria.
You always make it look so easy! I love the style of this one. Going to save this video for when my shop is set up and give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
Really looking good Lamp. I like the industrial look to it But I'm more impressed you managed to keep your clothes clean when you spilled the danish oil
Pendant lights need protection. The project shown here fulfills this basic criterion. His instruments are professional. Skillfully he assembles everything. It's a perfect match of wood and iron. Measurements are accurate. I look at how perfectly he drills at top of table without damaging it. His hands are perfect to do an authentic work. Rectangular wooden frames took time for construction. Now these rectangular frames need to be worked together to build the protective case for pendant lamp. The iron structure at top from where pendant light is hanging is accurately and stubbornly screwed to wood. Mounting whole structure on roof is tough but he does it skillfully this man is pro.
Very nice DIY project, Glen. I am always in awe of your skills, my friend. I could see this in my home for sure. Thanks for sharing your methods and awesome skillset. Felix
Love this video. Very beautiful design I would definitely try making a couple of these. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep Making. God bless.
What a coincidence, I just noticed that the HVAC guys left some scrap angle iron on the basement ceiling when they pulled out the old air handler... now I know what to do with it!
I had a crap situation with some metal I was working on in college. I found that liquid blue saves a lot of hassle. sanding, acetone, rub - much like wood working seals metal in a way that it won't corrode. I don't have a particular brand personally but just note the difference of aluminum and steel. brazed metals tend to play differently in the compound. I still hand sawed some clamp mounts for my bicycle that I'm proud of, though the brazing job was flawed cause I did it in a free parking spot in my apartment... my brass is tearing 10y later
Nice design. Since you painted the metal anyway, I think I would use aluminum angle; lighter and easier to drill. I'm thinking about something similar as a desk light.
