This is new to me, because we don't have Mrs Dash in The Netherlands, so thank you for the recipe :) Over here we use lovage in case you have to be careful with salt. You can use it fresh, dried or frozen.

I would use a wood pestile when using your collander for thinning your thyme out so you don't scrape your knockles up. As you grow older & your skin stars thinning out its so easy to split your skin on the little things that you used to do with ease... Have a great day & stay hydrated.

I really like Mrs. - and those bottles are great. If you don't live too far from the Dollar Tree it's free delivery to the store all you have to do is go and pick it up then. I can't remember how far you live away from there. The Mrs. Dash recipe is awesome.

My mom has one kidney, and failures are a kind of a family problem. If you have a small place left in your garden I recommend lovage as a herb. You can use it fresh, dried or even frozen to give your recipes a kind of salty taste without using salt. It is an easy herb, and comes back every year if you remove the knobs before blooming.

!you could also use a round, smooth rock to pulverise your dried herbs in the colander, about the size of a grapefruit. Nice to make your own spice mix, you can put in whatever you want! Have a blessed day and stay cool!

Good morning Tessie. I make up two Mrs Dash seasonings. One is my Italian made with regular oregano I put in my spaghetti sauce. And the other kind of oregano that's more spicy I use in my chilies, fajitas, and Tacos. I grow mine in pot's set on top of my retainer wall. When I need sage I add it by itself like for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. I wash my herbs, use salad spinner to dry, and use my dehydrator. I also dehydrate my cabbage and broccoli leaves and add to dishes for a little bit of more nutrition, really doesn't change favors, great for soups, and you're adding in greens in the wintertime. . I don't add to my Mrs Dash spices. You will love the cabbage leaves baked at 400° On parchment paper sprayed with olive oil and add your spices. I usually only salt and pepper mine, very little salt. I did a video on how to make those cabbage chips if you're interested. 🙏❤💕

yes, they sure are noisy! I live in Wis and I don't think we have those cicadas here. If there is any body of water nearby, we can hear the frogs croaking in the evenings, but I LOVE that sound!

It's so easy to make your own seasoning blends. My go to seasoning is called ,"Jane's Crazy Mixed Up Salt". Sometimes it is hard to find so when I do I will get a couple. Recently I ran out and couldn't find it at my usual stores. Part of the shortages we are experiencing I guess. I went on "Pinterest" and found a few versions of copy cat "Jane's". Of course we don't know the exact patented recipe but we can guess by using our taste buds and eyes with a tweek here and there. Here is how I made my version: 1/4 c. Kosher salt, 4 tsp. Granulated garlic, 1 tbsp. Pepper, 2 tsp. Granulated onion, 1/2 tsp celery seed, 1/2 tsp cayenne, 1/4 tsp crushed sage, parsley or cilantro. Italian seasonings can be added. Add more garlic or whatever you like. Make it your own. I doubled mine and put it in a small airtight jar with a decorative label on it.

I find crushed chilli flakes and lemon juice an acceptable substitute for salt. I don't even notice any more.

Oh how I wish it was 95 here.well it's perfect for picking herbs here it's a very dry hot 113 degrees.I'm praying it cools down soon.it's a bit overwhelming and dangerous.please anyone that has a extra prayer to share would greatly appreciate it.

OMGosh I make my own Mrs. Dash garlic herb too! And use it for when making ranch dressing with mayonnaise and buttermilk. If I am out of buttermilk I simply add a wee bit of lemon juice or plain vinegar to whole milk to make my own buttermilk. The packs of ranch dressing can run $2 in my area. Was that dried onion or dried garlic in your blend, since the titled says DIY Penny Pinching MRS.DASH Garlic and Herb Salt Free Mix? I am odd (laughing) and I place my dried herbs for my Mrs. Dash in a pillow case and bang the pillow case against the porch railing to separate the leaves from the stems.
