DIY Pet E-Collar 

For any home decorating/crafters out there, stencil mylar works beautifully. Just made one with it. and used padded photo mounting tape (sticky one side) folded over inside neckline for cushion (just notch it like you would seam binding around a curve, and it sticks to both sides). This is the best cone video that I found, but there is another more temporary one using paper plates (and the cone looks like a flower - cute). Thank you, Kucing Kampoeng! so much, all of the cones for sale, and at the vet were too big for my 12 wk old kitty, this was purrrrfect.

My cat has an abcess from a recent fight and it's horrible to see him suffer thru this given he's my heaven sent angel that has helped me thru though times. I found him doing laundry almost a year ago and he had caught a ride with a truck and wound up getting his tail caught in the fan. He was crying his little heart out for help. So me having heard his cries and went to find him outside with my friend who was helping me she tried to get him to come out to no avail. So off to get food. As soon as she left his sight he ran into my open arms and knew he had found home. My friend was so jealous when she rounded the corner with a granola bar and saw him safe in my arms almost ready to pur. And he ate that granola bar like he never had food before. So he stayed at our feet till laundry was done and I took him home to live and get better with me. A year later and a landlord who refused to pay me for building his ranch decided he could win win win if he evicted me while I was at my lowest with no means to fight back or take him to court to get what he owes me. We were evicted and the judge found out of his owing me thousands but now having to move and no help lost most of my personal belongings. They threw it on the ground and in the dumpster while a constable watched. I had to live in my truck in a pasture with Jake and the miserable heat. This summer homelessness living in my truck in what seemed to be the desert and three severe overheating episodes last one six hours on the ground and I awoke to his life saving licks of love and care. He had returned the favor. We have been thru so much more in this first year and now he has been fighting almost every day where we were forced to live now and I feel like I'm responsible for this severe problem he is facing as an abscess from the last fight a few days ago has erupted. He took off this last morning and all day I worried about him knowing his mood was not well and the abscess huge on his cheek. Came home from my neighbors being gone only a few hours to my friend screaming and saying Jake omg he's so bloody. I instantly knew the abscess had busted now if it was him scratching or a another fight I'm not sure yet. So me trying to control my tears and fear of worse rushed him to an overnight vet in Austin. Being flat broke my friend helped as she has since the lying evictin landlord had forced me to poverty her help has sustained Jake and I. She deserves an award and lots of money from my continued support while trying to rebuild and get my truck running and my bike running and my stuff moved. I lost so much this last year the last loss i need is my JAKE. The hole in his face is about the size of a quarter. And bothers him bad the vet charged 140 for a shot of antibiotics and an 8 hour pain med. Now I need advice and help if possible for treating my cat child, my JAKE. He's all I got. So I'm trying this but it's really hard to get him to wear this type of device and not go outside. Anyone have any suggestions please feel free to comment

Thank you for this. I used a paper plate and giftwrap ribbon. I had purchased one but it turned out to be too heavy for my young cat's head. She's about 6 months but stunted from malnutrition and injury (rescue I found with infected injuries). The paper plate worked great.

My cat hate e collar , that e collar is the smallest size that the vet gave me. Its big for my small cat and heavy , so i decided to make this for him. He's going to get a surgery next week pls pray for my cat , 😽
