Hi guys, thanks so much for watching!
Todays video is something very special to me, I loved every minute of helping my sister and her boyfriend to transform their balcony.

Thank you so so much! We got them from a local german hardware store and unfortunately I can’t find similar ones on amazon right now, only ones that are attached to a string and can’t be hung individually :/ www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Rotatable-Outdoor-Camping-Hanging/dp/B073B1ZKXR these are kind of similar ones I was able to find on amazon, hope that helps! 😊🌸

Wow you were so lucky on the length of the tiles, they literally fit perfectly, and the fact that you could cut the tiles along the preformed ridge to fit them in the last space between the tiles and the wall was even luckier! overall really enjoyed this project! Keep it up.

Great job 👍🏽. Some small white pebbles on the boarders of the floor would have been a great option - which would add interest and dimension to the floor. But well done 👍🏽

Thanks! 😊 I appreciate your comment. We simply went with a solution that is easily removable for the floors since we’ll move out of the appartment within the next year or so. For a permanent house / appartment pepples are definitely also a great idea and look! 🌸💞

Nice job! Are those veggies going to be okay without drainage?

Thanks! They do have a layer of small stones on the bottom underneath the soil. That’s where excess water can go so it does not need a drainage :)

@@MareikeSophie It will need drainage holes. Stones at the bottom just push water back up into the soil and causes roots to rot. I lost many plants before learning this. 😢

My mom, grandma and me have had many plants like this and it never was a problem. They all stayed healthy and with the right amount of water it worked just fine 😊😊

Hahaha I know we are known for keeping the balconys in proper shape 😅 It was time to put some work into the space 😊🌸 And LOL to the KiBa comment 😅 my fiancé named the dog, he is nor from germany and wouldn’t believe me when I told him that everyone would think we called the dog after the drink 🙈🙈😂

Could you please tell me how many tiles you needed for the entire balcony? I am planning to install my balcony.

Hi, that depends on the size of the balcony. We needed 36 of the 4x4 pieces from Ikea plus some spare to cut around the door and the side of the balcony.

Very cute. I'd prob just paint the nasty iron edges on the balcony wall white tho as white really sets off plants & it'd make it feel bigger.

Thanks! I would have loved to paint it, but since the space is rented we were not allowed to do permanent changes. Everything has to be revertable 😊

Hi! We got the small grill from a german hardwarestore. I found a similar one here on amazon Round Mini Barbecue in Black www.amazon.de/dp/B00KK1POPU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QRLUEb78WEAP6 I also know that the brand Weber makes similar ones 😊😊🌸

How did you attach the reed wall?

We drilled screws into the balcony walls and attachen the reed over them. We thought about using cable ties as well, but found the screes to look prettier 😊
