Nice vid. Done a lot of work on my own system which has some 8mm microbore. Those reducing sets are great though you can get the valves in 8 or 10mm sizes if you look around. Good tip with the box spanner though I found a universal rad spanner online which fits a 1/2 inch drive ratchet if you have one around. The Rothenberger stuff isn't cheap but their thin jawed adjustables are worth having, beautiful quality and will get in almost anywhere 👍

Mint video! Doing my sisters radiators tomorrow and I’ve fitted loads of radiators, in LCS, 15mm but never in microbore, and when I went to the suppliers and got the reducers for the 15mm valves and for the 10mm microbore pipe I was like no way this is going to work, the little brass reducers look like they still need an alive or some sort of rubber washer but watching this has cleared that right up. Top job, cheers.

Great video. Would be useful to know where we can by the microbore compression fitting for the rad valve, I have been searching but can't seem to find anyone who sells it. We live in Scotland.

What's the name of the glue you use for the rad tail threads? Will they still be removable once the glue has set?

So no olive with that reducer? Absolutely hate micro, it’s banned now from new builds I’m told.

@@user-bt1kp2ve3i aye and pre 2000 full of asbestos. I’ve actually got microbore in my 20yr old house. But in a commercial setting or college hostels etc any slight knock to a radiator and it leaks. Stuff in my house has that plastic insulator around it, stronger.
